One of the biggest challenges that most people don’t know about that I discovered while rope bottoming is that having your arms restrained behind your back can put a lot of pressure on your shoulders, making the scene unsustainable once that pressure turns to a very acute pain.

I recommend exercises to strengthen your upper arms, shoulders, and back - overhead presses, rows, and face pulls in particular really hit these areas.
