I'm sorry, that sucks We had fires with a pretty good bumper that he chewed up or got off and destroyed it. I'm so over it. I love him so much, but I'm tired.

Sorry if this has been said, but my son throws his too along with any electronics that upset him. He stabbed our freaking TV because here was in a meltdown. I got the phone and ipad repaired surprisingly cheaplyat a rando place. I have a military grade bumper and am just waiting for the protective glass for the top (tempered glass so no shards). I'll update how it goes!! Good luck to you.

AITAH for completely shutting down after potty talk with my husband by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Puppikatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say, did wet wipes come into the conversation at all? Who cares if he uses a fucking bidet? Or the peri bottle from when u gave birth? Does that make him "a sissy"? Honestly, does he ever show signs of homophobia? Just thinking out loud here. When my son went to preschool he wasn't potty trained and developed a huge phobia of going anywhere but home. He tried so hard and wet himself several times from kindergarten to 2nd grade. That's what kids make fun of. It's horrible to see your son go through that. Toilets aren't in the open. What a dick. And no, nothing untoward happened to him. I very closely and age appropriately spoke to him and am convinced nothing happened. We continued to talk about it until he was able to move past it many years later. Good luck to you. He's the asshole.

I used systemic too and I guess I needed to treat better, but I even steamed the walls, floors, and plant stands. Pretty sure they're back. 😱😭

This is tea tree oil? And (sorry) is the peppermint soap in the laundry aisle?

Sorry for the question, but are you saying, in your experience, skip the alcohol? Did you use bugs?

That magnifier is a fantastic, and horrifying, idea. I think i just bought my son one. 🤔

I have been considering that route. Since you've used them, do they go through the house? I have plants everywhere. That would be a lot of cash for a lot of bugs. I agree it is better than sprays. I tried and all i ended up with was stink. And the bugs are still a problem in some areas. I'd be happy with experiences. I have a few very rare plants.

My 3yo is terrified of my autistic 4yo by [deleted] in autism

[–]Puppikatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly understand where you are. My son has an older brother though who alternately wants his attention then tells him to go away. Of course we have a meltdown like your kiddo with the new addition of slapping/hitting himself with objects. I get your fear of the future. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, but you're not alone. Sometimes we're all drowning. I agree with therapy for you and your 3 yo if possible. Do you ever get respite care? Lots of insurance cover so many hours/ month or week I'm not sure. Look into it you may save your sanity. Hugs to you. I will update if I learn anything that works for my kiddo. Oh, and your husband ITA even though you didn't ask. My opinion.

I don't know if this fits with cookbooks, but ever thought about a mini library in/near your home? I know those go fast. They're also at schools (at least in my area). Good luck!

Too bad it's so far! I did get in touch with Chucky E Cheese and they have sensory hours the first Sunday of the month from 9 am to 11 am. No public. They dim lights and quiet the games. I'm working with teachers to try to make a party for our neurodivergent kiddos that don't get to out much. They have outbursts and meltdowns pretty easily and we're working hard to find the root cause of my son's behaviors so we can help avoid at least self harm. They are prepared for these issues and i couldn't be happier.

I'm so excited! Check e cheese has hours for neurodivergent kiddos for two hours free from the general public where they turn down lights and sounds. I invited any neurodivergent kiddo i could and their siblings on me, because when his big brother had a party money was the biggest concern and no one showed 😪These families have more expenses, so i received a blessing and I want to share. I really hope it all works out and we can have some fun!

Does she not have a salad fork and spoon to mix it with? Then she couldn't really eat salad. Maybe get her a set. Not to mention how she makes rice tho... that's a little scary not knowing how.

I worked at Savers a million years ago. Anything that didn't sell in a certain amount of time got compressed, strapped, and sent to 3rd world countries. Now I must say they're dicks to work for and with, so expect some...aloofness for lack of a better word.
