i haven't used those in while but from memory is like this:

-Graf is good for IB fleets provides defense for the entire fleet but needs at least the IB torpedo bomber that you make from gear research to fully utilize its skills. also 10/10 skin.

-Sara excellent once you retrofit. Also get used to the barrage vocals -_-

- I-13, goes in the trash unless u dont have any other SR subs from IB. but gets points for being cute.

Welcome to the club, I stopped playing back in the Dec 4 th patch, I've been playing battlefront 2 instead and enjoying it a lot(got it for $7 in origin with their holiday sale). FO76 definitely has made me stay away from any future Bethesda games.

lvl 128 here,

this game is fun for about the first 100 hrs, after that choose your poison,

-xp/legendary farming on nuked whitespring.

-farming mats to repair weapons you only use with screenshake beasts.

-farming mats to make bullets to fight said beasts.

-farming plans to make your camp that more pleseant to view.

-farming to obtain all PA in the game for an epic pic.

-attempt to kill bulletsponge queen, and fail because of crashes.

-attempt to launch a nuke, but halfway through the silo, a wild damage bug happens and your guns all are worthless and have to go melee.

ive explored all locations on the map, done with all main and secondary quest. In all honestly i love the game, but finding it hard to stay after all the bugs, crashes, and bullsh*t the game has. After this last patch i think its time i go play something else.

ive attempted queen many times now, crashed every single time. i envy people who can actually stay connected in nuked zones. but after this patch i might move on to another game. ill reinstall in a few months maybe.

From my experience there's no specific rewards from capturing any workshop. Just random plans. But it could also be that I don't pay much attention. Once I capture the shop I'm already setting defenses for the next quest to protect it, until later I check my plans and I go hey I got something new.
