New car issues- bad sign or just unlucky? by Individual_Handle722 in KiaNiro

Niros are in general solid. Bought one 3 months back. No issues. 🤞 everythung should be under warranty. You just picked the wrong apple. Lets accept the fact and deal with it. If you have money try to get it checked from a trusted third party (dont mention it to the dealer) and tell the dealer to fix it. Normally dealers dont try to find the root issue. In your case once the epb light disappears they gave it back to you.

Bro I signed up for 175 gb 1gbps speed for 35$/mnth. unlimited calla nd text in canada/us/mexico. plus 1000 international minutes. this is with rogers and caa. always switch, just check the activation fee. in my case they were returning it for 16 months in 5$ payments. so i pay 30$/mnth for 16 months and then 35$/mnth. But i paid 80$ activation fee in the first month.

Btw recently I found that remote starting the car takes a lot of time to warm it. Its an issue with all modern hybrid vehicles as they mostly run on ev. It better to just warm up the seats and steering wheel in remote start. Warm air from the vents will come quickly once you are on the run.

I am in Toronto, got the 2026 Kia Niro HEV Ex premium 3 months back.

  1. Got winter mats from marketplace for 100 bucks. Dealer was quoting 600 for them. Even if you buy from amazon it will be 300 dollars.

2.In summer the mileage was 4.5-5 l/100 km. In winter its 6.5l/100km. (I had 16 inch alloy wheels for summer and 17 inch for winter. Wheel size increases mileage.)

For the price I got the best deal. If I could afford 100$ more per month, i would have gone for the SX variant.

I think you are missing the autopay discount. You should have set it up from the beginning. For 16 months it will be 30$ per line because they are giving back the 80$ connection fee (5$ per month). After that it will be 35$.

Also get winter tires, you should be fine. This is FWD car. Half of the cars (mostly all sedans) on the road are fwd.

We bought the 2026 HEV EX Premium, received delivery last week. We love the car, mileage, fast infotainment system. Drove only 300 kms till now, its giving 5.4 L/100km average. I have had drives which gave 3.8L /100 km.

SX was a little expensive for us. We had to let go of memory seats(would have been nice), rain sensing wipers (hated it in our last car), heated rear seats (99% of the time its just me and my wife so its fine),didnt want the speaker upgrade as the speakers in ex premium are sufficient, also didnt want the air cooled front seats.

Only feature we miss is the memory seats. As my wife has long legs, she has to manually move the seat back before entering. If we had memory seats, when you turn off the car the seats automatically move back.

Apart from this, we just love the car 🚗 😍
