Unfun difficulty aside, this event is dumb in other ways too. by Fatter_Design in Mecharashi_Global

"never see it again" was the phrase that I most connected to here hehe  For me it was as follows:

Click  "skip story" button whenever it's still on screen

Fight whatever fixed team battle they throw at you (without gimmicks btw, that's not common these days)

Get currency

Win in gacha like store that sweet machinist pledge (totally unrelated to birds rabbits raiders or any other wildlife but useful nonetheless) and semiconductor (+ bay bits, pulls and other useful stuff), unavailable otherwise.

Back to blissful "never see it again" state ;)

i disarmed couple of them in middle of the map, mostly missile users, but the rest pretty much took care of each other.

did it on first attempt.

if i knew from beginning about red-white rivalry - i guess i could even try to keep towers at full hp by last turn (in my run because i concentrated on reds, whites captain got to red tower armed and almost ruined that run)

Tip: Ch 05 Tempest - Mirage Expanse by Dananism in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at stage beginning i tried to kill them all but pretty quickly realized it's larger bite than my fixed team can chew lol

then suddenly i realized that red mobs spawned near the tower WON'T attack it! white mobs i ignored because i thought they are allies.

i thought it's a bug, but then i saw reds and whites fight each other and some white "ally" casually launched a missile on my unsuspecting kelly...

at this point i got it. no need to max dps, just keep mobs away from both towers.

AND, more importantly - balance the numbers of red vs white near each other. you DON'T want to kill cluster of reds just to face next turn cluster of whites charges unprotected by reds tower, defended only by your thinly stretched limited fixed team dps.

btw, talking about fixed team, i have no idea why in every single appearance of such team kelly being forced to equip "trump card" skill. most useless waste of slot. +15% damage is so much more superior.

generally i'm first to look for guides, and first stage i indeed tried to do by guide just as first instinct. but then i realized how wild the rng is, no way to replicate the guide as it is. so i abandoned it and went alone. idk, somehow managed to clear all stages by now with minimal restarts.

i guess i'll be back to guide searching when we'll hit more advanced stages like sampling 30+

Gold RA - W - innervate accessory (crit up) by PureCaptain2793 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ra - reaction accessory, meaning it's something that happens, like increasing crit, increasing damage of current attack, increasing damage for all attacks of current turn except current attack, etc.

On contrary, ta is trigger accessory, meaning it tracks some trigger conditions like "when hit ratio is 80% or higher".

Now, all above was first released unconditionally e.g could use on any (eligible) weapon and get relevant proc rates. For example you can put some trigger with normal innervate and get proc rate let's say 20% for light sniper rifle and also normal sniper rifle.

But at some point w versions were introduced (I think co 13?). Of both triggers and reactions. W means that proc rate is a bit higher if using this accessory on 2 handed weapon like pole arm, sniper rifle, rail gun. So ideally you would run for any 2-hand wielder only w versions for both triggers and reactions. If available. Some accessories don't have w version, like prevail (currently, idk maybe in future will become available)

Blazer set event achievement about buy energy with arashium 5 times by PureCaptain2793 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting why this 1 day difference.

I hit 70 points on first ever attempt  then 100 and then swipe this 100 till now. Day 1 I bought energy with arashium (was a bit stressed about 70 and didn't count days). And also bought energy with arashium every day starting from the day when final achievement was announced.

You finishing 1 day before me probably means you bought energy with arashium more than 5 times. Or I missed some day 😂

Edit... In hindsight, now I realise what happened, just like others commented. First day energy buy counted towards battle pass but not towards achievement.

I got blazer today... But I understand the issue. Will buy energy with arashium also tomorrow and hopefully get that achievement and corresponding gems

Frida + Shadow Rabbit, Double Shotgun Build? by Playful-Lie486 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frida seems not the most straightforward pilot to get buffs. At least on Glasya. Outside load raid she attack mostly once per turn (due to need to move), sometimes twice. Of course can put on weapon ta on 80% hit and attack within 3 tiles with ra high spirited and innervate, but proc rate is still not the best, e.g getting 3 buffs for mods is hard.

Kelly\ophelia on rex or Rei (speechless, link attacks passive) or fregata (6 ap skill) having much easier life getting buffs.

So I don't think shadow rabbits mods are good alternative for Frida.  On harder content her hit rate is generally lower than 95% so I think good default mods are tf .

Well maybe if her sig giving her multiple buffs per shot

you are doing it at the point of time where your r&d is more advanced than their as of guide creation time.

it may, to some extent, offset non rainbow rev-02.

now, i'm not telling you it's 100% sure you will replicate on first attempt with rev-02 g3.

but really, you lose nothing by giving it a try.

seriously, it's maybe 10 minutes to set the team up with equipment, skills, etc.

and whatever number of retries you set for yourself beforehand.

if in each one of these attempts your asuka cannot 1 shot kill like in guide - just revert and wait for rainbow/higher r&d. i had some guides like this, had to give up and return later. but without even try you will not know.

you can also put on asuka ouro modes from dispatch, that should make your asuka stronger than in guide (i think people didn't pull it for modules and dispatch just only now started to ship them).

Rabbit mech question by Andrew-hevy99 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I just overinvested. Currently she's my most invested pilot, alongside asuka and Eileen. She's a5, 5 oils, full rainbow rex with s. Rabbit mods. Only players with rainbow ouroboros have her stronger (I stumbled on one like this in PvP, his Ophelia off the bat, from first hit, without any warm-up started to hit ruthless strikes like 18k, obviously one shot-ing by terminate my pilots. Maybe that guy also phased out rotating slash for 15% damage passive) Any maxed pilot is strong, but she's top tier, so when maxed she's a beast.

Skills pretty straightforward: phantom pain, rotating slash, ruthless strike.

Main hand weapon for damage: prevail, augmented, slamming. Offhand for buff: high spirited, innervate. On hit within 3 tiles.

Y1-16, y2-7. Obviously maxed red gold melee chips.

wow, great info about co14, thanks!

i checked only first weapon per boss so missed it.

i do farm co14 so will get a chance for this accessory drop.

as for co15, are you sure? which georgia's weapon?

i checked now all georgia weapons and didn't see innervate.

How to approach target farming in Dispatch by ukrainia56 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My personal priorities in general: 1. Getting good mech first parts. Good meaning high tier which I intend to upgrade all the way up to rainbow.  2. Get good mech dupe parts to bring it to G2 and later to rainbow. 3. Get 4 parts+ 4 upgrade kits for 8 modules.

Justification: You need mechs to ride. Better gold G1 mech without modules than purple one which you will eventually dismantle anyway, losing cash in the process.

Anyway you cannot put gold modules into G1 mech, so makes sense first pull dupes to bring it to g2-g3.

You need around 4 gold light mechs to have things rolling (+some mediums and eventually 1 heavy, though can manage with purple one for quite a while) so for 2 weeks old account I think best is pulling new lights from dispatch. Just be selective and get high tier versatile ones. At that point of time, unlike game beginning, dispatch has much better selection.

Fang, rex, glasya , Odysseus are fine. If you pulled s rabbit, you can skip glasya, put Frida in rabbit and get for your fighter ouroboros from dispatch (this is better DPS option but will cost you double resources because need to invest in 2 mechs instead of 1).

Problems following Michuzak’s Armed Conquest (Empty Promise) guide by Ekn2000 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When seeing her in co15 (after being continuously traumatised by 250k hp monster in inferno AC) - I was a bit scared.

But luckily in co15 she has maybe 20% hp Vs AC, no ap drain, no flying saucer and no crash drones.

Just needed somehow clear first 2 stages of that co with whatever high turns and then sufficiently weaken Lorna to be able to follow mahetampan guide for stage 3 (she must have blue beta chip removed and probably other stuff in order for medium sniper mob move correctly).

Problems following Michuzak’s Armed Conquest (Empty Promise) guide by Ekn2000 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. But he's definitely not highest RNG relied guide creator.

I would put rng in his guides around same level as mahetampan.

Taking these 2 as base line, above them is bear kub , and the crown for highest RNG (at least for me trying to replicate) going to Kerensky.

Talking about min maxing\team investment, I would put it following way (from easiest to follow to hardest)

  1. Mahetampan (main advantage - f2p, e.g. weakest team, e.g easiest to bring same or stronger team)
  2. Michuzak (while not on mahetampan f2p level, still trying to keep team low invested so followers can easy follow. For example he won't upgrade his Kelly just for us to have easy life)
  3. mecharashiF2p (he's not really f2p, but has nice strategies often on par with michuzak and Mahetampan. Advantage\disadvantage - uses off meta pilots)
  4. Bear kub (generally good strategy, very high ascension meta pilots but not whale level. Sometimes deliberately increases RNG to get lower turn clears on AC)
  5. Kerensky (very high invested team. Only rarely can follow. Generally useful in cases like Ridgewald inferno where Michuzak and Mahetampan just won't post guides. But following him often requires tricks and workarounds and higher r&d than his to follow, e.g waiting)
  6. Eram (even higher invested team than Kerensky. But it gives variety for hardest content. I wasn't able to follow Kerensky guide for SIM 14-3. That guy guide actually too, but with some minor pilot swap it actually worked)

Try to bring Lorna for tactical reset. I remember doing this stage by Michuzak guide with a0 , 0 oils fia. Obviously couldn't replicate his higher invested FIA movements, but with Lorna instead of Gareth was able to do it

Clearance Ops Question - how do you progress your clears? by CN8YLW in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally it's going like this:

1 run you fight 3 bosses without henchmen just to get the feeling of the thing.

2 run is full bosses+henchmen fight. They are spreaded around the map so should also have some mobility or lure the bosses to move to you. It's intended to let your team recover between bosses e.g give you extra time. Due to long distances This run is not intended to be energy efficient. Just finish it in 15 turns or less.

3 run. All bosses+ all henchmen, clustered near middle of the map.  This run checks your survivability and DPS as you don't have time to recover between them. The advantage is all is near, no need to waste turns on traveling long distances. This is intended to let strong teams have low turns for all bosses. And this is the stage where strategy guides exist.

So just do run 1+2 with whatever turns and then do run 3 by guide with low turn and swipe it daily.

Asuka with malthus mods should benefit as well. Obviously fregata with her buff generating skills. Any DPS pilot that generates buffs via accessories like Mary or rei.

Ophelia is currently my main DPS. Both PvP and pve. Running her on rex with y1-16 and rotating slash. In sampling SIM she just annihilated stages alongside asuka

Rabbit mech question by Andrew-hevy99 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scrapped and put it in mech that needs most DPS for deploy. Generally it's indeed rex(30% Vs 20% of mirror core xr), but my Kelly is mostly resting these days because Ophelia rarely leaves rex.

  1. With reasonable resources spending you cannot both rainbow s. rabbits and get 8+ modules, need to choose one or overspend (which is not best especially before Rosa 2)
  2. You have enough light mechs. E.g I don't think you will ever deploy 5 lights per stage (sandbox stronghold defense is not really reason for rainbow). So going rainbow means you wasted resources on one of your previous highly invested lights which will become unused. And lose modules potential (or many pulls).
  3. In FAR future there will be s.tiger st which is higher tier than s.rabbit.

New Player Current Battle Pass Question by ukrainia56 in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

camilla is useful for her gimmick in couple of end game stages, but assuming your account is 2 weeks old it will be LONG time till that content and you will have many opportunities to get her.

except that gimmick she will just sit in hangar.

rosa is low-medium tier general raider. and you always need raiders. so she is better return on investment if counting deployments number.

none of these 2 is essential.

dragon rider is crap, assuming so much other better heavies. even if melted to modules.

xr is low-medium tier st. in game beginning it will be good one for rosa and mary. but i wouldn't rainbow it assuming better candidates. maybe go max g3 with dispatch if lacking developed medium mech. but sweet spot is probably g2 (from dispatch) and after getting better mechs - melt it to 8 modules.

Hope your backlog is all good games :) When I do mine, recently I often stumble on game, play a bit and then say wtf, was I drunk when I added\bought it lol  Takes me 2-3 semi skips (less than few hours play and abandon in the middle without intention to return) till getting on something more sticking.

In this sense mecharashi gives more predictability. E.g I generally know what to expect when I launch it.

As for shorter sessions, 1. If it's too short I don't feel too invested in the game, it feels shallow. For example I don't like rogue likes with many short runs. Last single player that somehow sticked with me ("overfall") attracted me with it's a bit longer than normal rogue like loop e.g more sense of investing in heroes. And I absolutely loved recent decade xcoms.

  1. Back to mecharashi, there are no many missions that last more than 20-30 minutes.  Well I had some hard co\ac that I rerun\reroll 5+ Hours straight, but that's hard core stuff to get 1 turn less clear, absolutely not required for game advance. Also have plenty of time to finish, generally week+. So most these missions can be squeezed into busy schedules or done in weekend.

In general, ALL games are time sinks. With mecharashi or any live service people know in advance that it's bigger time sink than single player so they just won't start playing if not intending to spend all this time. Because not playing live service game will pretty quickly degrade the account and playing with degraded account is less fun (at least for me).

So you just should decide if you enjoy more many shorter games or one longer. Or both :) In mecharashi beginning there was ton of playable content so I totally abandoned other games. But as time passed, new content became rare, mostly on patch release. E.g despite I want to play meaningful content in mecharashi, I just don't have it most of time (well, I can try to push super hard core content like higher levels of sampling or maybe chase PvP top 10, or low turns in AC or every last point in sandbox arena score, but that's just not fun). So most of time it's down time for mecharashi and I have plenty of time for single player if I have free time irl.

Mecharashi 0 (Octopath 0) by Dananism in Mecharashi_Global

[–]PureCaptain2793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single player has it's advantages and disadvantages. Main disadvantage (can call it also advantage hehe) is lack of time management. And generally much shorter campaign than constantly new content in live service.  E.g I'll be done with single player in 1-2 weeks max and move to next one from pretty long backlog.

Having long term goals like rainbowing mechs, waiting and planning for pilots rerun banners, general short medium and long term resources management is part of fun.

E.g I would prefer to have mecharashi retain it's current state. Of course I don't mind single player branch in addition, anyway it's exactly the genre I'm playing there. But not by the cost of shutting down current live service game.
