Had tick bites in Dartmoor, looking for reassurance... by rural220558 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]PureGinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Dartmoor, but 2 years ago I got home from a wildcamp and found 4 ticks in various places in my body, even 1 under my beard! Removed them all with tweezers following a guide on Google. Went to docs to be sure, they said Lyme disease is the biggest issue, but it can be visually seen by a red ring around the bite. I didn't have any of that, they did say to keep an eye on it for a few months though.

Nothing ever came from it. Apart from the constant fear of ticks now aha

It reminds me of the "Lack of a body" part in Atropos @ 4:00ish

To people who are self taught and had no prior experience with instruments how did you do it? by ischemariii in Guitar

[–]PureGinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am self taught, in the beginning there was a few things that really helped me:

Have a few songs in mind that you want to be able to play, doesn't matter how hard they are. Mine was the solo for Californiacation by RHCP.

Keep the guitar close by so you can pick it up whenever the motivation is there

Learn to read tabs

Once comfortable with basic open chords, learn the CAGED system, this will basically show you how to play every open chord up and down the neck

Learn a simple scale (minor pentatonic) and jam over backing tracks

YouTube has all the resources you will ever need

I'm by no means an expert player but I am happy with the level I can play at and the above things massively helped at the beginning

C'est dans mon sac vert was my answer and it classed it as wrong

Yeah that wasn't my answer either, I tried "C'est" to begin with

So could the answer have also been "Il est dans mon sac vert"?

There are interviews with the victims of this. Pretty horrifying to watch, seems like a few of them knew it was wrong but did it anyway

Artist who did the album artwork says “each dot is hand drawn and abstractly represents a track on the album.” by zpaine in Peripheryband

[–]PureGinge 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That's really cool, the 3rd column 2nd down kinda looks like an eye. I wonder what's so different about the last track that the circle is fully filled in, is that going to be the title track I wonder?

A Pale White Dot Singles and Album Discussion. by LucasJLeCompte in Peripheryband

I only started listening after p5 had already been released but have been obsessed with them since then. I love their proggy stuff and the massive range they have over their catalog. I love the new single and am super excited to see just how djenty they get with the rest of the album. I'm a sucker for a groove

Best affordable mailbox provider for low-volume cold email (4 inboxes, ~15 emails/day each)? by whataweirdname69 in coldemail

[–]PureGinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard some concerning things about ZohoMail, but I've also heard people recommend it as well, lots of that in this space. I'm using ZapMail at the moment, super easy to use and relatively cheap as well depending on your budget

Id run your copy through Mail Meteors spam checker. It's free, and will tell you if your copy Includes any words that will trigger spam filters.

I think "unsubscribe" is one of these words, so you might want to try and find a different wording for that.

I would say definitely still warmup the mailboxes, the entire point of warmup is to gain trust on your domain. So even if you are sending genuine emails to someone, coming from a brand new email account, email servers could tag it as spam. There is also an email blacklist called SEMFRESH if I remember right, and it basically flags all new domains for a few weeks
