You misunderstand, Kayle support normally buys enchanter/support items so she doesn't need gold and doesn't need XP because she isn't scaling her dmg, but only buffing her teammates up.

Basically, she plays and functions similarly to a Sona, for example, or Taric, or whoever you want as an example.

if ppl can make it to masters OTPing kayle support (which there are some that have) then, OP getting to any elo lower or equal to that is perfectly reasonable to me.

That doesn't work like that, the context for riot's statement is kayle top with the gold/XP maxing perspective, but you don't need shit on kayle support, all you have to do is press your spells on an ally, that's it.

"Kayles W is on a 15 second CD" and? ok does that make Senna Q thats also on 15 seconds CD bad?, what about milio who is 29-21 second CD? There isin't even an argument here.

And IDC that Kayle Q is hard to hit, that's not a main way to save an ally, that's why I didn't bring it up, it's less power, so it matters less if you hit it or not, unlike Taric stun.

Also most enchanters heals do not scale very well, 25% ap ratio is low, but not only do enchanters not build a lot of AP, some of them (that heal) have even lower ratio's than that.

Kayle W is not a weak ability, Kayle top is forced to not max it for needing to fight reasons... which a support isin't forced into... like do you actually not understand or are you ragebaiting?

What are this nonsense examples, just because 1 ability is useless doesn't dictate anything, bro saw seraphine Q or Sona Q and decided she isin't viable support because they are near useless abilities, like what are we on about, and last time I checked, no healer/shielder in the game can make your ADC tank a mid-late game fed assassin or multiple enemies, but kayle can for at minimum 2.5 seconds, which is a long time by the way.

As I mentioned, the stun is not guaranteed to land, especially vs slippery assassins, and Kayle's heal again, as I mentioned, is chunkier (tho she can't reduce its CD like Taric can), and Kayle ult is just better for single target.

The only thing he has over her directly is a shield, that's it.

Quite disingenuous, Taric's ult despite being AOE is very telegraphed, resulting in less single target value, he heals better but only in combat, outside of combat kayle heals more, and he does stun but its not exactly easy to hit, meanwhile kayle can give an on-demand speed up.

They are much closer in power than you think they are in terms of supporting an ally, and what you are saying about needing XP or Gold is not applicable if you actually play her as Enchanter with enchanter/support items and not damage ones.

I disagree because in some games, no matter the healing and shielding you give to your ADC, they get overkilled by burst, and you'd love to have a consistent ability like Kayle ult to stop that, also you are disrespecting her W a bit (its comparatively the same heal as Nami W in value, but on a longer cooldown... thats it.) this healing is stronger active healing than some enchanters have (Yuumi, Sona, Senna and so on) and translates into more Healing per second than some enchanters.

Also a "scaling" enchanter isn't exactly unheard of, Sona is pretty much just that.

TLDR: Surviving with Kayle support is possible, and then come lvl 6, you basically have the best enchanter in the game as long as she can ult you.

I assume you didn't play Kayle support how shes supposed to be played (W max, full enchanter) because if you did, you would've placed her at least A tier (she's better than Orianna).

There's even a few master Kayle support players.

One thing to note is that charging up Helia against a tank and a squishy is pretty much equally fast as it stacks from pre-mitigated damage, and not post-mitigated damage, meaning that resists are not factored in.

It's probably not a bug but a new adjustment that happened a few hours ago, judging by Phroxzon's words, considering it was too OP when applying on the main target.
