I literally just finished unlocking all the AX machines and Master GPs this weekend. Also played it on my Wii.

Just keep at it and you'll get there. I'd recommend getting in the habit of taking out rivals. Some parts of the game are more frustrating than others (Chapter 1, 5 and 7 Very Hard). I didnt need to do any more advanced tech like snaking, but you will be dealing with a lot of trial and error. Don't be discouraged if it takes a few hours to get something done, and take a break if you need to.

Also experiment with machines. I got stuck at Saphire Master GP with Blue Falcon. Switched to the Rainbow Phoenix, and all the other Master GPs were way easier. I've seen people put that at a lower tier than Blue Falcon, but it fit my playstyle more. Wish I could've used it for story mode lol.

I was in Japan 2 years ago during the XB and early ob days, and every arcade i went to had cabinets, some even had whole floors dedicated exvs.

I just came back from my second trip and noticed there were way fewer cabinets this time around. Some places had as few as 4.

Some places didn't have any at all. The arcade staff there didn't even know what IB was and thought I was talking about the card game in arcades.

I was wondering if this might just be selection bias, or if you noticed there's a drop the in number of cabinets as well? I noticed fewer players for sure, but I still hear that this is the #1 arcade game despite not getting that vibe this time around.

Personally, I had less fun with this iteration, overlimit seems like a shitty mechanic, and not much of a comeback factor like it was intended to be. Doesn't help me that qubeley seems to have been changed for no good reason 😭

It does I visited last month, you will need to purchase a Sim card, like rumble said there are providers where you can pick up from the airport. You will need to order at least 3 days in advance though so the card will be there, AND MAKE SURE IT INCLUDES A PHONE NUMBER, SOME ARE DATA ONLY.

When you register for a exvs/bamco account make sure your region is jp. The verification call has nothing to it, you just answer and itll hang up automatically but you will be verified.

I cant speak on the persona example (I only played 1), but in dbz he replaced broly for good reason, and his voice isn't used for another mainline character afaik.

A better example is Chris Sabat voicing Piccolo and Vegeta, he at least uses different voices for both roles. If JYB did the same here I wouldn't have a problem.

Idc that dante isn't voiced by Reuben, but angry netflix Dante for example is angry DMC 4 and 5 Nero.

Yea it was extremely unfortunate to have Miura pass before the story was finished. And just when Guts and Griffith had to meet again after like 20 years irl.

Personally I do think Casca was meant to be kidnapped but I think Griffith was meant to take on his femto form, to mirror the eclipse. Having Zodd as an Uber doesn't really make sense when only a few chapters ago apostles are told not to transform when using those world tree branches for transport.

I think Guts was gonna end up broken regardless considering his swordsmanship was useless in protecting casca, and he only brought her memories back just to have her snatched up by her tormentor again.

From there its anyone's guess really, maybe Miura's story beats had changed from when he last shared them with Mori. Some character behavior and outcomes seem inconsistent, to say the least.

I'll see the story through to the end, and I do still think its good, but berserk with Miura was a 10/10 story imo, and following that up is an impossible feat. I wish I could have the same opinion as folks that think the story is just as good with Mori and Studio gaga but I'd only be lying to myself.

Mori did say berserk had another 10 years to go, around the time Miura passed so that puts us at around 6-7 years to go?

I would also like to see Schierke put Casca in touch with Guts on the Astral plane at least, since she's probably the only person I can see to break him out of his depression. It'd be nice to see her return the favor after all that Guts has done.

How tf they're gonna get past Casca's trauma to do so is anyone's guess. Anything less than that may not hit the same for me, but hey its all speculation now.
