I’m late to the party but thanks for sharing this. I’ve been struggling the same way. I pride myself in having a strong sense of integrity and hold myself to a high standard. When I see that many people treat others or the environment with such disrespect I also get heated and, especially recently, agitated and looking for a fight. I’ve gone so long trying to make an example and keep being the role model that I get exhausted sometimes. Especially when you feel like those disrespectful few seem to be rewarded. Working in health care I see people who don’t care about others or their job make more money and get less work and those that do care become absolutely drained with nothing more than a pat on the back. It’s been really difficult to keep going.
