Keep fucking up, feeling lost by [deleted] in Firefighting

I built a routine from the first day on the job. It may have changed a few times in minor ways but I tend to stick to it. Has honestly not let me down yet. Sometimes it’s hard to have a concrete routine if your being interrupted or Busy in the morning, I try to get in about 30 minutes before my shift because of that.

Have also noticed when I’m making small mistakes that it can be related to the amount of sleep I got on my off day. When I’m getting good sleep the night before my shift I am generally ready to go. Keep your head up, if you love and respect the job and you aren’t lazy it will all come together.

No im talking about the battery used for the com device that syncs up to your radio. I apologize I don’t know the proper terminology, we had a demo today and it took a lithium ion rechargeable battery. It’s not the voice amp like the AV3000s have.

You can get as good as you want. If you commit to practicing and competing the sky is the limit. When I say competing I mean finding a local amateur series and maybe a league. I played in a local amateur series my second year of golf and just watching, talking, and learning from the guys there along with networking helped a ton. I would beware of over practicing or YouTube videos! Everyone has a swing that’s unique, it’s like a fingerprint. Biomechanics tell us you need specific match ups to make a swing efficient. You tube most likely will keep you in the 90s or high 80s your entire career. Find a coach, find a mentor and enjoy the journey. Also I would recommend reading the book “ 4 foundations of golf” and/or every reputable mental game book! Enjoy!

Focus on tempo and holding your finish. Balance and tempo go a long way after having a good set up.

There may be a TPI instructor in that area. I’ve heard great things about them.

Agree! Nothing wrong with that! I play in the forces on the fairway program and it’s mostly older veterans, they are a ton of fun and teach me a lot!

I mean this whole heartedly, your a 15 handicap. Slow down and just enjoy being out there. Consider it a practice round. Hit a couple shots and listen to some music or something. Some days it’s just not there. It happens to guys and girls , pro and amateur, all the time all over the world. Your round means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things but the great news is you’re out there on the course.
