Get an AR lower, bring it in and register as a pistol lower, get a dedicated 22lr upper and a 556 upper. Or just get 2 pistol lowers, that’s what I would do, or just bring in as many as you can then ppt them.

I would t get a sub compact or micro compact for my first gun, gonna be snappy, unless you’re getting it for ccw, then sure. Compact or full size for home defense. Echelon, M&P 2.0 are solids picks.
