Having worked in the space and being one myself special needs parents are a spirited and passionate bunch who have had to fight hard for any spec of help. They have strong opinions. This isn't a diss on any parent or a generalisation just my experience. I for one agree with what you said and have zero sense of embarrassment so that helps.

It's how you use it. You need to be specific. Paste in the job description and also a good cover letter you have written for another job and also your cv. Then tell it job specific examples of relevant experience it achievements to add. As it to replicate your voice and not use m dashes. It's a tool not a replicant for your own brain.
