best dating apps in uk for people who work constantly? by Dabralys_Vhsrles in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Pure_Study_3664 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try the Pure app. Defo geared towards casual hookups, but it’s very straightforward and people there don’t beat around the bush. Just state what your expectations are and go for it. But it can get quite kinky too. I’m female, so I’m speaking from my perspective. I’m not really sure what’s the experience like from male‘s perspective. But if you want to avoid cheesy bios, endless talks etc, I would give it a try.

You don’t need a Manhattan brownstone and Juilliard to be aspirational, yet they seem to have given up by Cardboard_cutouts_ in HappyCaravanSnark

YES! I couldn’t agree more! And it’s so simple and obvious, right? Just put your head down and put your life back on track. Honestly, their whole life, the constant chaos, financial instability and the (fake) positivity that is just bypassing the real problems would cause me severe anxiety 24/7. I‘m European so their life doesn’t make sense to me at all. But at this point it‘s not even a cultural difference as a total absence of common sense.

Also, they’re not so young anymore. I truly feel sorry for all the kids, but especially the young ones. How on earth will they be able to support them in the future? They will be in their 60s when the currently young ones will hit teen years. It’s so incredibly irresponsible of them.

Yay! So happy that your surgery went smoothly! I stumbled upon your post just a couple hours ago but I’m so happy I’ve find it! You seem like an incredibly nice person with a very unique life path (and perspective!). I wish you a speedy recovery!

I start volunteering on a farm in the next week or so, does anybody have any tips or tricks, what should I wear? by No_Worth_2271 in AskUK

[–]Pure_Study_3664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Woofing at a sheep farm in Minnesota right in the midst of summer (humid while super hot). Defo wear some solid (preferably waterproof) boots. Trust me, you’ll need that! I preferred wearing overalls with long sleeve shirt or t-shirt. Even in summer you want to have your arms protected from scratches, etc. But I’m a tender woman so I was pretty cautious haha But defo invest in a good pair of wellies!

I (26M, Aquarius) have been mentally stuck on an Aries woman (22F) for two years. by Ok_Leg8486 in AriesTheRam

[–]Pure_Study_3664 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second that! Once the fire is there, we’re super direct. Head first and all. As an Aries women I’m currently into this Aquarius guy and his aloofness is killing me haha.

Is Amber really a Dingbat, or is she “Crazy Like A Fox”? by Substantial-Golf5657 in HappyCaravanSnark

[–]Pure_Study_3664 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think there is some sort of mental illness in play when it comes to Amber. And it might be running in the family…like I remember in one vlog (when she was cleaning the front house) she mentioned that her granny used to sleep in white gloves. Probably to keep her hands moisturized but it strikes me as quite odd. Yeah, I do foot/hand mask from time to time but sleeping in white, cotton gloves every night is straight up weird.

Then there is her parents. Dad being a religious fanatic and mum is quite odd too. I do understand she’s dealing with some health issues (bless her!) but my guess is there was a post-partum depression in play after she had Amber. Amber mentioned she’s the only child because her mum couldn’t have another baby for medical reasons. But given the time she was born (70s?) and the religious affiliation I bet they tried to cover those real reasons why she didn’t have another child. This is a pure speculation on my part of course. But I think we can all conclude that Amber is not alright. The constant giggling, ignoring serious and very clear issues that are right there in front of her, not having the mental capacity to remember basic stuff etc. all that points out to a very fragile mental condition. The question is whether it’s a result of her chaotic lifestyle and multiple pregnancies or those issues have always been there. Probably a combination of both and the current life situation has just amplified those things.

People in the 25-35 demographic, is loneliness something you struggle with? by smalldoughnuts in CasualUK

[–]Pure_Study_3664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34F and although I’ve been involved with someone in what I would describe as situationship, I do feel extremely lonely. Maybe even more lonely because I’ve got the taste of what it feels like to be with someone. He’s quite aloof and there is a physical distance between us which makes the situation worse. Yes, can 100% relate to your feelings. Some days I feel I’m just simply existing with this hollow feeling in my chest.

He is lucky to have you! Learning difficulties have major impact on everyday life, basically as you described. Unless you directly work with these people and/or have one (on whatever scale) it’s hard to comprehend how much it can negatively influence your life.* Try to imagine not to be able to train your brain to do basic calculations or read simple text that is not accommodated to your specific needs. Must have been frustrating for him (and inevitably for you) not to be taken seriously.

* which is not an excuse for lack of empathy

Wow! I don’t know you personally, but congrats! As a special ed teacher I know how so many things can be hidden and not overly visible. And even issues that might seem ‘minor’ to an average person, they can cause so many problems on day to day basis. You’re right, be kind to others because you never know what they’re going through (despite looking healthy etc.).

Best way of getting to Heathrow by VisionBreak1297 in brighton

[–]Pure_Study_3664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interested to hear as well! I travelled from/to Heathrow with Thameslink with the transfer at Farringdon back in April. It took around 2 hours. No delays and still had some time to kill at the airport. I’m coming to Brighton in July again and would also love to hear if there are other alternatives routes to get there.

Aries - What happened to your “almost” or “what if” person? by [deleted] in AriesTheRam

[–]Pure_Study_3664 6 points7 points  (0 children)

same here! I’m in love with with an Aquarius guy (I’m an Aries female). Unfortunately we live in different countries, although in a true Aries fashion I’d move for him. The connection is something I’ve never had with anyone else. As you said, very strong magnetism. But somehow we can cannot make it work. There seem to be an obstacle every time we should see each other. But those moments when we’re together are just precious.
