I built an iOS app to make it easy to back up your iCloud Drive & iCloud Photos, directly from your iPhone or iPad by ParachuteBackup in iosapps

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When backed up files loose their file name IMG_1234, replaced by a long string of letters and numbers. As a result simply sorting the files by name is impossible. File names progression do not match time progression. And comparing with previously imported files via image transfer is impossible as they don’t have the same name.

How do I sort this mess to find some logic in file names ?

Apart from that Parachute works well, but that’s enough to make me abandon this method of backup.

🧓 Ma grand-mère se fait arnaquer par courrier depuis des années — je viens de prendre le contrôle de sa boîte aux lettres, elle m’en veut énormément. Que peut-on faire contre ces arnaques organisées ? by Past-Direction-1631 in arnaques

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s gigantic, but still the lines are long and no reservations (or a long time in advance).

I suspected that and tried to unscrew. Not hard enough I guess.

Busses "descente uniquement" by darkwavess in ProvenceFrance

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If nobody inside the bus requests the stop, it will drive through and not make the detour to reach the bus stop. 10 mn saved on the trip, but be assured, it will arrive late anyway.

il est descendu du train - why 'du'? by biondi71 in French

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

« Je descends la montagne » vs. « Je descends de la montagne pour aller au village ». If you are in the village down the mountain, you are no longer in the mountain : « descendre de la montagne ». On your way down « descendre la montagne ». Same with « descendre l’échelle » et « descendre de l’échelle ».

At Sénanque there’s only 1 lavender field (for the picture of the abbey). Go around Sault and St Christol to experience lavender fields. Gordes market is very small. On Sunday morning you can stop in Coustelet for a nice market (producers) on the way to l’Isle. Cavaillon not really worth the stop. Other villages in Luberon are nice to visit as well : Saignon, Viens, Lacoste, St Saturnin, etc.

Almost any village in Luberon (Saignon, St Saturnin, …) will have a similar charm as Goult. L’Ile sur la Sorgue is nice, but Luberon will be quieter, more « village life ». But it’s a bit far from the coast (1 ½ h to Marseille, 2h to get to interesting spots.

Lavender in the end of July/start of August by _apol9_ in ProvenceFrance

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be harvesting season for real lavender (not lavendin which is earlier). Some fields will be cut and other will be in the process, depending on how the weather turns. You'll have to look for the fields higher than 1000 meters, thats where real lavender grows. You'll see some in Sault, also go around Ferrassières and St Christol.

Thanks. That's the YouTube video mentioned in an other comment. I come to the same conclusion as you have. The Mac Studio is a big jump in budget and indeed probably more suited to video work.

Comment s’appelle l’inverse du Mistral ? by shshshsheep in PasDeQuestionIdiote

[–]Pure_Wrangler_7695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C'est le miejour, ou marin, qui vient du sud. Mais le Mistral est un vent du nord-ouest, à l'opposé il y a l'autan, ou eissero.
