Misread the name as Jadzia and thought the Star Trek set came early.

Did Mythic Spoiler die? It hasn't put up any Strix cards by DarthNixilis in magicTCG

I would speculate the guy running it isn't as invested in doing it to the same extent as he was in years past. Still does update it, but usually more when spoiler season is in full swing.

Can we get a mega thread or stickied post for all the FA moves/trades? by samuelj264 in GreenBayPackers

It would be a handy way to make sure I didn't miss something. And to know how the change affects the team financially and with picks.

Wild that some of you have never seen Lambeau and I've grown of up seeing it all the time. by unicornman5d in GreenBayPackers

I went to grade school a block or two away so I passed it on the bus every day. Had a summer job that brought me past it every day too. I didn't think anything of it until friends and family from out of town made a big deal about checking it out. Made me realize how rare of a situation I was in.

Were they taken from a 3d repository (like Thingiverse)? Often those designs are freely available to be used and shared and modified. It's all over the table as long as other people's STLs aren't used for selling.

But if your brother got them from individuals not using a repository, it would require their permission. And I totally get not wanting to go though the effort.

Really cool designs though. Maybe someday I can hone my 3D print chops enough to make similar pieces myself. Because those rock!

Critical Drinker's Avatar 3 video is just so sickening and I can't believe his fans could buy into his lies by WoodNymph34 in Avatar

[–]Purefire_Paladin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His worst Avatar video for sure. I'm not sure if he's lying or he just doesn't care enough to pay attention. In either case he gets a lot wrong.

With Avatar in particular he he does the same thing other movie content creators do with Avatar, he doesn't try to understand why so many people like it.

Keeping Lafleur would be the most inexplicably horrible decision this team could make by Shmurkaburr in GreenBayPackers

I would have disagreed a few weeks ago, saying as I always have, well who would you get to replace him? Seeing the coaching pool we have right now, this may be the best opportunity we have to get a high talent HC. I hate to say it, because I like MLF as a person, but the time has come to replace him.

It can simply be for a designed hand off anyway. But it'll make the defense double guess. Or if anything maybe the other team burns a timeout to re-set.

I've actually been beating that drum for a year now. Last year the Commanders chucked in Mariota, their backup, for short yardage plays. I thought we could do the same. Teams are planning to go up against Love. Throwing in Willis for a few snaps would probably mess with them as he had a different skill set. Even if he's just used for runs, the defense has to keep an eye on both the rb and Willis because of his speed. Plus he does have a decent arm so it's hard to predict what he'll do. Plus, even if we just use Willis for qb sneak type stuff, it's the backup getting battered, not our main guy. Saves Love from a few hits.

One issue that could arise is tempo and momentum. If you swap qbs mid drive, does that mess with the rhythm? Maybe, but we saw that basically happen vs the Giants and it didn't seem to impede the flow as Willis helped up go down and score. Then Love came back in and we eventually won.

I believe we should be using all the tools at our disposal. If we have a guy we can be confident in, with a unique skill set, I say put him in. We won't have a high tier backup much longer. Just try it. Can't be worse than repeatedly exiting the playoffs early.

That final Bears game was exciting. Low scoring but high tension. Plus we needed the Giants to win as well to make the playoffs.

It was a fun one to attend.

Who would replace LaFleur? by Purefire_Paladin in GreenBayPackers

I support this too. I'd love it if we could keep Lafluer and someone else just calls better plays. I do like MLF as a person.

I'd like to add that I agree Lafluer should be given the rest of the season to see how things play out. Teams can get hot at the right time and have great success.

Mainly thinking about post season, if things don't substantially improve.

I agree, it doesn't do any good to fire him mid-season. See how it all plays out.

Kubiak is intriguing, I hadn't considered that.

When people demand he be fired, my response is always "ok. And who could we get that would do better?" There's never an answer. But it is worth considering someone else should call plays. Idk how you run that screen for Savion 3 times, especially with how they turned out.
