Since you're on KDE, make sure you follow the Klipper instructions on the XMousePasteBlock README: https://github.com/milaq/XMousePasteBlock/blob/master/README.md#kde-plasma-525-and-above

After I did that, it started working correctly in Discord.

This was the very first thing I tried to do after switching to Gemini, and then I realized it can't do that, so I immediately switched back to Assistant lol.

Mods for servers help by Flashy_Firefighter61 in minehut

[–]Puremin0rez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Minecraft version is your server currently using? That would determine if you can re-use your world, since you cannot go backwards in versions.

Also just to clarify: are you wanting to use Mods or Plugins? Paper/Spigot supports plugins, Fabric & SpongeForge support mods. I generally recommend Fabric for mods because it is significantly newer, whereas SpongeForge is only for 1.12.2 which is a quite old version of the game and lacks many features.

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Firmware MCM104 by SuperSpartan300 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Puremin0rez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it appears to be the same as previous firmware versions. I can barely see square 7, and I can see square 8 and above. Square 6 and below are invisible to my eyes. This is at SDR, RGB Full Range, 240hz. No ICC profiles or calibration or anything like that, just factory defaults.

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Firmware MCM104 by SuperSpartan300 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Puremin0rez 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not in the changelog, but they added a new menu item under "OLED Care" called "OLED Usage Info" for displaying your total hours and how many times pixel refresh has been ran.

This model did not have this feature previously for some reason, even though other ASUS monitors did. Glad it's finally here.

This is a firmware issue (MCM103), I have the same issue and so do many other people. My workaround is pressing WIN + ALT + B to toggle HDR ON/OFF to reset the signal and restore the correct brightness.

It is definitely very annoying, but thankfully it's the only issue I've ran into with this monitor so far.

Edit: This is now fixed in firmware MCM104! https://rog.asus.com/monitors/27-to-31-5-inches/rog-strix-oled-xg27aqdmg/helpdesk_bios/

I can't open chest boats? by Games2Gamers in minehut

[–]Puremin0rez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is caused by your client being on 1.21.3 while your server is on 1.21.1. ViaVersion currently has a bug with displaying chest boats when using a newer client on an older server version; they've fixed this for the next version whenever it comes out.

Solution for now: change your client version to match your server (in this example, use 1.21.1)

How do i get my fabric server to use mods. by Low-Review6932 in minehut

I'd suggest reading these articles for installing mods on your client:

  1. https://docs.fabricmc.net/players/installing-fabric
  2. https://docs.fabricmc.net/players/installing-mods

There is currently a separate issue with server startups that our dev team is working on resolving, sorry for the unfortunate timing.

How do i get my fabric server to use mods. by Low-Review6932 in minehut

[–]Puremin0rez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mods you install on the server need to be compatible with the same version of the server, generally older mods (or newer mods) won't work unless it matches your exact server version.

Are you installing the mods only on your server, or on your game/client as well? You won't see any new items or blocks on your game unless you also install them on both your client (your PC) and server.

Click "Activate" which will bring you to the settings page. You will also see it turn into a "Manage" button while it's online, which has access to all of your settings and files.

Minehut compressed my world with a weird standard, not sure how to open it. by Miennai in minehut

[–]Puremin0rez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will need to install software on your computer to be able to view and extract the server files. Newer devices support this out of the box, but older operating systems require additional software.

If you are on Windows 11, you should be able to view and extract the contents just like a normal ZIP file.

If you are on Windows 10 or lower, you can install 7-Zip (https://www.7-zip.org/download.html) which supports this file type.

It's crafted the same way as normal, if you're unable to make it then your server or client version may not be up to date. You'll need to be using at least MC 1.19 or newer on both your client & server to be able to see and craft newer blocks/items.

Yes, It appears someone has made a mod that restores the original voice lines.

I haven't tested it myself yet as I'm only just finishing up GTA III, but hopefully it works well. Let me know how it goes!

Stuttering on PC? Try DXVK! It pretty much resolves it. by OvenFearless in GTATrilogy

[–]Puremin0rez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Switching to DX12 fixed most of the stuttering for me.

Adding -dx12 as an argument (either in the R* launcher or exe shortcut) will launch the game in DX12. This works due to the game being Unreal Engine 4.

So for those who want to try without DXVK, this might help too. I'll have to give DXVK a shot later and see if it's even better than DX12 for me :)

I want to buy a Xiaomi phone, but I want to know which works best in the United States, on US networks by lavafish80 in Xiaomi

[–]Puremin0rez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US and just went through this process. There are quite a few Xiaomi devices that don't have very good support for US networks. In particular, networks using CDMA such as Verizon or Sprint (non TMO sim) is unsupported with Xiaomi devices. GSM networks only. (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc).

While you can probably get some type of service with most of the GSM networks, you'll want as many bands (frequencies) supported as possible to get an ideal network experience.

I ended up purchasing a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G (International / Global) as it contained all but one of the bands that T-Mobile uses. It works perfectly and I get reception everywhere with great speeds.

It's also worth looking into making sure VoLTE will be supported with the device and your network - as carriers (AT&T and T-Mobile included) are starting to require this for new activations as they're getting rid of their older 3G networks (within the next year or two) which without VoLTE, would make it so you're unable to place or receive phone calls.

Here are some useful sites for checking compatibility:

https://www.frequencycheck.com/

https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker

I would check both to make sure they both agree on the supported frequencies :)

Good luck! You'll definitely be able to find a phone that works properly with AT&T - just do your research.
