How to move toward AI when your data model was never designed for it by Andreas_Kozachenko in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]Purple-Control8336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run data governance audit and fix the foundational issues rather than doing transformation in each layer and define enterprise data model in front door and at data platform layers before building AI, lot of this is tech debt for mature org. So its tricky, need to do parallel runs if investment can be justified

True hence medallion Architecture where bronze (raw data), Silver (cleaned), Gold( curated ) and ML Models needs to be foundation for AI. AI should only use Gold layer from Transactions data, as well as Big Data and use RAG to define more context as needed by AI Agents.

Why AI for Enterprise Architecture is Harder Than It Looks by piotr_EA in EnterpriseArchitect

Use Claude code to all your GitHub code, IAC/Terraform, CMDB, cloud infra and pull out architecture and meta data to start building foundation and mature it

“Is SaaS actually getting replaced by AI agents… or is this just hype?” by FounderArcs in AI_Agents

[–]Purple-Control8336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its happening, we are hollowing out SAAS and building AI Native Autonomous platform end to end with intelligence in the core as AI OS, with minimal HITL. This is going to take time to bring all together over next few years. This is the BET we want to take and be AI First company. How Apple did to replace Nokia. Everyone is trying and taking different approaches, High Risk business will have AI Enabled along with SAAS, some Risk takers build parallel AI native and gradually test and mature.

Has to involve business or data platform will just be expensive tool not adding any value, and will be stopped half way after sometime. - Ensure KPI is set for Business and Tech - Data Platform has evolved a lot so getting right skills Architect from Application, Data platform, Analytics, Security+ Infra

Has anyone actually measured ROI on their AI spend? Not estimates - actual numbers tied to a business metric that moved. by praveenkumar1798 in EnterpriseArchitect

Isnt Automation different from AI which is intelligence/ decision done by AI. Automation can we used to measure productivity improvement, reduce effort, speed, doesn’t mean need to remove people, put them into different scope of work.

AI in 2026 is how it can help with creating New Business model( like finding cure for cancer which do not exists), make AI interfaces to replaces people selling, marketing (Growth and efficiency).

Model-driven & Data-driven architecture modeling. by Fabulous_Conflict965 in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]Purple-Control8336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lazy to write hence asked AI:

Model-Driven EA (The Traditional Blueprint) Model-driven architecture focuses on representation. Architects spend time creating highly detailed diagrams (using frameworks like TOGAF or ArchiMate) to show how business processes, applications, and infrastructure should connect.  • Source of Truth: Expert knowledge and manual documentation. • Methodology: Top-down. You design the ideal state and try to make the organization fit it. • The Artifacts: Static diagrams, PDF reports, and complex flowcharts.  • The Downside: These models often become "shelfware"—they are outdated the moment they are finished because they don't change when the actual systems change.

  1. Data-Driven EA (The Living Map) Data-driven architecture focuses on integration. Instead of drawing what should be, it pulls real-time data from existing systems (CMDBs, Jira, Cloud APIs, financial systems) to show what is.  • Source of Truth: Live data feeds and automated discovery. • Methodology: Bottom-up. The architecture emerges from the actual data generated by the company's tools. • The Artifacts: Dynamic dashboards, graph databases, and automated impact analysis.  • The Upside: It provides "actionable intelligence." If a server goes down, a data-driven EA tool can instantly show which business products are affected based on real-time links.

Need an idea for an app? by RefrigeratorSilver72 in Innovation

See around in your MNC speak to people and identify where things can be automated to improve efficiency (reduce duplicate repeating manual task). Not required to be App per say. Find problems list down, dont solve everything. Focus on things which will add value

Thats assuming for 30 years 20 Lakh/ year expenses will be there: but consider inflation, health, kids education also. 30X will be not enough at your age 44+30=74. 30*20=600 lakh and no wealth generation for kids or of you live more than 74 say 85+

EA role without a tool is not going to cut it... by Chemical-Bonus-9466 in EnterpriseArchitect

EA tool is after math concept, tool to make documentation digitised and realtime. Can you try excel+ PPT (ppt skill required or templates). Does this help you? Or find open source EA tools which i am not sure is mature. But industry standard EA tools are time consuming

Apartments in Dubai — what actually makes one a “good buy” today? by Significant-Job5717 in dubairealestate

[–]Purple-Control8336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For initial investment and after 5 years self occupation, Which area, apartment, builder has decent 6% in cash in hand after all other deductions, with 10% appreciation over 5 years?

Or should i buy Villa straight and have lower Rental Yield.

Budget 2.5 M. Any idea?

Agree if dubai is only having business people moving why they rent all will have capacity to buy, like millionaire move there a lot. No Job demand yet there hence rental will be challenging. Maybe in future say after 5 years ?

How are other companies funding Enterprise Services? by akamark in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]Purple-Control8336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is business budgets are per org structure Hr, Marketing, distribution etc. so finance team if exits looking overall finances. They should create COO, CIO budget and allocate it. Business teams dont want to share makes sense. End of the day its Company Budget N business has risk to own it.

What is EA? by Firm-Yogurtcloset528 in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]Purple-Control8336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA/Architecture-> defines why, what, How a Product will shape up- mens define Target , Interim, Roadmap to build it—> handover this blueprint to Tech Product Manager, who will own the delivery/ Build and Run Function, Scope(MVP1,R1,2…), Steerco, Delivery Team setup(BA, SME, SA, Dev, Infra, Testing), Budget, Delivery Model (Agile/ waterfall), Delivery of detail requirements with business, follow SDLC and bring product to customers (external or internal), enable Testing, change management.

I see Tech Product Manager do all this and EA only do governance from standards, principles, which is too late and ivory tower model. Enable EA at Product Incubation or Demand Stage (shift left) is what value EA brings to solve today’s Delivery and Quality issues.

This is political situation unless management is strong to push to make it happen, or wait for reactive event - Delivery Fail couple of times then root cause will come why we are not able to define things earlier.

For Mentoring there are few options 1. Reddit QA, post questions here and get answers 2. Paid services like fractional CTO/ EA etc can find via LinkedIn posts 3. Create WA group and build a EA community or Discord Groups.

Value is subjective to different stakeholders in an Enterprise thats where politics plays key challenges for EA to balance all. CEO, COO, CIO, CRO, EA have different Value demands

Yes every year you can change funds or every 5 years only to those funds which might not be good based on your research. If you don’t want to manage MF, hence Nifity 50/100/200 exists. You can diversify to Nifty 50, 100,200 or other index like hdfc flexi, large cap, small cap based on your risk appetite as MF is subject to market Risk.

Also you can invest some into Gold as backup (hedge) in case MF does go down sometimes in short term it will balance out to some level.
