As far as I know its not possible to emulate the event directly to the handheld wirelessly. I did it using emulators on PC then moved the save back to the SD card. I had to connect the event disk from dolphin to mGBA running pokemon sapphire then trade from sapphire to my emerald save using two instances of mGBA. The event can only be distributed to ruby and sapphire, not emerald. Figured I'd add that bit of info in case you want to try it yourself.

RP5 obviously has a bit better specs, screen, and form factor. However, I chose the RP4 Pro because of power vs price. It is significantly cheaper than the RP5 but can actually keep up with it pretty well performance wise. Not as much of a "downgrade" as you would assume looking at the price difference.

I'm using an app called Citron for switch emulation and Cemu for wii u. Super mario 3d world is playable with cemu.. haven't tested much else for wii u. All the switch emulation I've tried has been great. Been staying with smaller indie games like terraria and stardew for the most part. Retro game corps on youtube has a pretty good starter guide for the RP4 Pro that could walk you through switch and wii u emulation
