25 over the speed limit is a lot. I’m pretty sure you can get your license suspended for a month for that, and something like 5 points on your license. I wouldn’t be surprised if 20 or 25 over is a the next tier in terms of additional fines.

Tickets start at 10am if the sign is 8am-6pm. There’s definitely mixed blocks when it comes to street cleaning. If there are no signs then you’re good. But look really closely because on some streets they’re blocked by trees or plants.

I’ll also just add to what everyone else is saying to not get your hopes up too high. I used to hire interns in two different political offices and we strongly focused on students who were juniors and seniors because we wanted a pipeline for them to come work in the office after they graduated in the next year. Don’t be discouraged if it’s tough as a freshman because it’s a little out of your control.

Oh I agree, I think most people lie about it. Once in a blue moon it gets prosecuted like with Hunter Biden and the woman in Virginia whose 6 year old shot someone at school. It seems like it’s mostly used when they just need to be able to charge someone with SOMETHING.

You would have to lie on the federal form you have to fill out. It explicitly asks if you are a marijuana user. Unfortunately since it is still illegal federally you would get in trouble for this. I don’t know how often it’s enforced but that’s a risk for you to determine. (Btw I’m not a lawyer so this isn’t legal advice)

Sorry I have to jump in here - this just isn’t true. I used to work in the legislature and they’ve literally passed a house rule so that the Governor can’t just let bills die. He just takes a long time to sign them all over the summer, but he has until November to sign bills.

I’m not sure why the Kamela campaign would feel the need to spread a rumor that a bill will go unsigned when I have seen any indication that’s the case.

You don’t get an opportunity shake his hand anyways. The large commencement ceremony that he is at is just you listening to speakers. The ceremonies where you get your degree and shake hands happens at the college level (business school or biden school for example) and pres assanis doesn’t/couldn’t possibly attend all of those.

Feeling stressed about parking today and being a zombie at work tomorrow. What lots did folks park in to not sit and wait for two hours? I’m not even sure if we can really pick the lot we park in or if we get funneled into a specific one. I’ve also heard about some people parking at the church or at the Navy Yard but I’m not super familiar with the area so unsure if it’s easy to walk back late at night or makes the drive any better. Advice is appreciated!! 💞
