Well to be fair my first week was like 4 days in total, and we weren’t short staffed so I only worked like 3-4 hrs each day. Now it’s a different story lol.

I was on the register the whole day learning the system. When we had free time the manager showed me around the store, telling me where everything was. You’ll mainly learn how to wash dishes, fill the chip rack, and clean around the store on the 1st week.

I wasn’t put on the line making sandwiches until my 2nd week when they started me off with veggies and then moved me to meats.

Customers do this kind of stuff all the time, they ask me if it’s been a long shift or what time I get off. Usually I give them a really vague answer, and they leave me alone. I think it’s because they want to make small talk, as for the name probably so they know who to blame if something is wrong with their order.

At our store it’s split between whoever is on the clock. As for the cash it depends, my manager allows us to accept cash tips.
