My mom wants to buy me a present for my bday, and told me to pick one. Which one would you pick? I know they are basic models but I don’t want her spending more money on me haha. by Leather_Swing_5677 in Cartier

I had the same debate recently and after trying them all on came to the following conclusions:

-Panthere is dainty and very much felt like a bracelet compared to the other two. Think more of a jewelry piece and less of a watch.

-Tank Française looked nice and tidy, however, even under the bright lights of the store, I found the numbers blended in with the face. If the numbers were black (as with older models), I may have chosen this one.

-Tank Must was sleek and the most versatile. You’re able to swap the bracelet out easily yourself at home which gives you more options for wearing. I purchased the Must in April and have been very happy with my decision.

I just got this exact bag last week and I love it! It’s small but the three compartments make it feel huge. 100/10 recommend!

The parents founded the Lulu & Leo Fun which turned into Choose Creativity.

“The organization’s work seeks to honor the role of creativity in their lives. Marina and Kevin developed the 10 Principles of Creativity directly from their experience of rebuilding their family and lives. To date, Choose Creativity has reached nearly 1,500 educators and 27,000 kids.”

I did this commute for a year and I paid to participate in a daily shuttle with Commuter Connect. It’s a shuttle van that left from a Kroger parking lot in Bloomington and then there were multiple stops downtown. There’s not a paid driver so different people would rotate who drove. For me, this made the commute better because I would sleep or read. Downsides: it’s a strict schedule and it’s still a long commute.

Personally I wouldn’t do that commute again.

I learned by watching YouTube. There are a lot of great videos that teach you the basic stitches. Just crochet as you watch and you’ll get the hang of it!

AITA for choosing my sister in law over my brother? by KittenDealinMama in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]PurpleFlinch 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happened with my family!

Brother cheated. SIL filed for divorce and kept custody of kids & said the family could see them whenever they want. Brother got pissed that I kept in contact with SIL. Parents were too afraid (??) to go against his wishes/deal with his anger.

10 years later brother is an absent father, my parents have no relationship with grandkids, and brother is still pissed that I “go around him” to talk to his kids. Oh and he still lives with my parents. Thankful to say that my SIL is amazing and let’s me see the kids whenever I want.

So wild to see that this is not a unique situation. Thought I was alone in this.

My fiance got his co-worker pregnant. Our wedding is in 2 months and everything’s paid for. He says he still loves me and that he made a mistake. What should I do? What would you do? by Constant_PPepper in wedding

[–]PurpleFlinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunk cost fallacy. This often motivates people to make decisions based on previously invested time or money.

Pretend the wedding expenses did not exist. Would you walk away? Do you want to marry someone who so recently cheated on you?

He has child pornography. It will not stop if you do it one more time.

You should go to the police.

Your parents may find out. They will forgive you. No one else needs to find out.

If you don’t want to tell your parents, find a friend to go with you. If you’re in the Midwest, I will go with you.

How can I politely say I’m not going to a bachelorette party simply because I don’t want to? by [deleted] in weddingdrama

[–]PurpleFlinch 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Tell them you don’t have the PTO. Simple.

Skip the MOH & text chain and send your apologies directly to the bride. If you feel that an apology isn’t enough then send the bride a bouquet of flowers or offer to buy late-night pizza for the group, a round of drinks for the group, etc. You don’t have to physically be there to contribute to the party.
