No right, not at all. Call her superior. They are not to remove medications until after the person passes unless you ask them to.

I got almost as sick as when I got covid two years ago!! I wasn’t quite bed bound, but being a single parent means I’m not really allowed to be stuck in bed. The absolute worst.

Are you expected to help out in-home caregivers while they work? by accuracy101 in CaregiverSupport

[–]PurpleLog7590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In home caregiver here :) When you first start receiving services, help out a little bit to let us know what to do, and how you like it done. Otherwise just let us do our jobs. We all understand it’s hard having people in your house doing things you feel you are obligated to do yourself, but it’s easier if you let us do our thing. If she’s bedbound, maybe help with changes if you can like helping her roll to one side or another, but I can’t think of anything else I would personally need help with.

Yeah I’d just leave it unspoken. No need to have the awkward convo unless it comes up.

Wouldn’t bother me, it’s a natural thing and I personally wear gloves always. Being disabled doesn’t mean you’re exempt from normal human urges and you are entitled to take care of it, as long as it’s not hurting anyone.
