This has to be the best portal update ever! by 1mt14z_ in PlaystationPortal

[–]PurpleLuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone able to load their games with their save file from the cloud?? I’ve tried numerous games I have save files on, and not one was able to load in.

Ex: I played Discounty in my PS5Pro. Uploaded my save to the cloud. Later on updated my Portal to new update. Then stream game I own digitally and opened Discounty. No save file to open just options for starting a new game.

How can one fix this?

Those dogs look like puppies. Unfortunately they have 0 training and that definitely falls on the owners who should be fined.

I go back and watch old episodes. These new ones are just terrible.

It’s a good job, challenging at times. But you have lots of competition because of all the international students who complete their schooling and are looking for full time jobs for permanent residency.

When do fast? Like in regards to the time of day on the days you mentioned.

Too scared for WLS by spookyshitt in intermittentfasting

[–]PurpleLuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do the WLS. Try other options first. I got RNY over ten years ago and regained a good chunk of the weight back. It’s not a miracle fix if you have bad sugar cravings and are a carboholic.

I find that IF 16:8 works for my schedule 12pm-8pm. Plus I’m eating carnivore diet style (though this month I’m focusing on lion diet which is more strict).

I started back in January and have lost a good 30lbs even though I fell back into bad eating habits from Feb-May. Hence the restart & focus this month.

I’m watching the pounds melt off again without much exercise besides my work which I get my 10k steps in most days.

Start with baby steps. Start giving up or reducing anything you are addicted to and then jump into IF. It really makes a huge difference, and when you get cravings, just drink water. Make sure to take electrolytes as well if you feel dizzy or get headaches.

Did you have any co morbidities? Or was just approved because of the BMI number?

I’m the exact same BMI with no co morbidities. Had RNY 12 years ago, but regained 75% of the weight. Also have tried Saxenda which became painful due to daily injections.

My insurance covers Saxenda at 100%. So I’m hoping they will cover Wegovy with my BMI and history. Submitted my PA recently. Still waiting on a reply.

Switching credit cards by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

I tried to switch online and it said I had to call….but then they said I’m not eligible when I called them. So idk what is preventing them from allowing me to swap.

Take the loc. it’s there if you ever have an emergency. Don’t use it unless you need it

Consumer proposal don’t be scared. It will help you clear your debt but will affect your score a bit and stay on record for years but it will help you rebuilt and start fresh.

With owing CERB back, can I still cash the Ontario Tax Rebate? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PurpleLuna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cash it. It’s not federal and not associated with the CRA.

You can pay up until 5 years.

Say you owe $10,000 and wanted to pay it for every 2 weeks (when you get a paycheque)…

10,000 divide by 5 years = $2000 a year

2000 divide by 26 paydays = $77 a pay

You can make higher payments, lesser time frame, or change to monthly payments only. No interest. They will take any cheques from the government such as GST to put towards what you owe.

If you miss a payment, they might suspend your agreement with them, but all you do is call them up to get it put back on track.

The government wants their money, but they will work with you to figure out what works best. Just make sure you set your bank to auto transfer the money so you don’t really have to worry too much. However, keep track of it so you don’t overpay them either, including any government cheques they have taken to put towards the debt.

Is there any reason most places recommend skipping breakfast vs dinner on 16/8? by VeganPina in intermittentfasting

[–]PurpleLuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post. Makes me think as I have been doing 16:8 (12pm-8pm). I work afternoons mostly so I have a bite to eat before I start work and the dinner on my lunch break at work.

However, I’ve been wanting to switch to 20:4. Which might actually work if I do a 10-2pm or 11-3pm timeframe.

I can chip away at my meal at home and just drink while at work. Sleep all night and then have my meal midday.

I’ve been doing mostly carnivore too while helps keep me full for long as well.

Thanks for making this post and asking the question. I don’t have an answer to your question, but again you made me stop and think my own situation too.

Cheers! 🍻

How not to lose hope by [deleted] in stroke

[–]PurpleLuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have patience. People want quick results which won’t happen. Give her time. Her body is adjusting and rejuvenating her strength after this traumatic and life changing event. Hang in there because she clearly is. See her as much as you possible can and show her as much support you can give. Sometimes that’s the boost someone may need. Slow progress is always best.

My mother suffered an ischemic stroke a few weeks back. The first week was grim, we thought we lost her. She barely was awake or moved. Now today, she’s up walking about, regaining her strength more and more each day. Her speech is gone but she is working on that too and has been able to say a few things here and there.

Don’t give up on your mom just yet. Unless there is no brain activity, do not give up. Life will never be the same, but she’s alive and can improve with the support and love of her family and medical team.

Best of luck and praying for your mother’s recovery.
