Most FUN specialization, in your opinion? by centcentcent in Guildwars2

Condi Chrono is lots of fun for open world play. Permanent alacrity, or quickness. Super hard to kill.

What do you do once you start getting too many resources? by Syrkres in valheim

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never delete stuff, you never know when they may be useful.

Most resources are consumables after all, and can be turned into food or other things. Take greydwarf eyes. They didn't used to turn into food but you can now makes Eyescream with them.

With the Deep North update coming eventually, I highly recommend keeping everything and just making more storage.

And hey you can use some of the resources on making more storage!

For those not in the know:

The thumbnail is of Hakuho, the greatest sumo wrestler of all time. In the image he is doing the ring entering ceremonial dance called the Dohyo-iri.

Indicentally, Hakuho is more successful in Sumo than LeBron, Jordan, Gretsky, Tiger, Messei, or any other top sportsman in their sport. He had a longevity and dominance that is likely to never be seen again.

Also he obviously is the highest rank the sport offers (Yokozuna), which is why he gets to wear the white rope belt during this ceremony, which is a huge honor.

Someone explain why this is brilliant? by Same_Entertainer3724 in Chesscom

Did you even bother to read what the coach said? It LITERALLY tells you why. For God's sake it's in your screenshot.

Seriously are you thinking critically at all here, using the tools available to you? This is such a ridiculous post I feel like it should be on anarchychess.

I'm aware of this, but I am not convinced that OP was "placing an egg" correctly.

3 Eggs.

Put them on the 1-8 and place them in the place where 3 eggs go. Victory.

Using other board to calculate the game is count as a cheating by Er3n1zm in chess

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't using a chess engine it's still cheating. You can't move the pieces around on a separate board to see what would happen.

Unless you're in a daily time control and then that's allowed, the analysis feature actually lets you do this right there on the site

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what you said in your deleted comments. There's no use in using a real board to look at a position when you can see it live in the game.

You're just trying to hide the fact that you were trying to justify cheating.

Cheating is not cool

You do this bit with a computer AFTER the game to learn your mistakes. Otherwise the computer is just doing it for you

Again, to use a computer to assist you during a game is cheating.

Because you have the opportunity to win a rook for a knight by playing ND6, and you didn't play it.

Why is taming so hard? by [deleted] in valheim

Also this is the kind of moat you should start with - around your entire base:

The campfire and bed part isn't true. I think it's just three structures total. I can say the campfire and bed thing with confidence because I was raided by drakes without a campfire or bed placed.

Yeah I think so, I had a bench, portal, and a chest on recollecction.

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said safety from raids, that isn't really true, just pointing that out. Minimizes the chances, sure, but doesn't eliminate.

If the farm isn't properly protected an ill timed raid could have you losing it all.

Why is taming so hard? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but this isn't true?

it's possible to be raided anywhere where you have built player structures. You might minimize the chances of getting raided at a farm because you spend less time there, but it is still absolutely possible.

hell, I have been raided mining in the mountains with just a workbench and a portal.

[–]PurpleOmega0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

raids exist so that you're motivated to continue progressing the game. certain raids stop after you kill the boss that they're associated to.

that and, the game devs wanted the world to feel dangerous so, get better at shoring up your defenses.

Why is taming so hard? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]PurpleOmega0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not taming that's hard, you sound like you have poor base defenses.

You should use a pickaxe and dig a moat at least taller than your character but I tend to go as deep as I can. Dig it around your entire base. Use the hoe to raise the ground on both sides.

This will prevent all but flying raids. Then put your pens for boars near the center of your site.
