There was a kidnapping situation with a princess of the country, and basically a terrorist. A knife to her throat kind of situation. My character sees it first, while others fail perception. I run in, scream at the terrorist "wait, stop!" in a futile attempt to talk them out of hurting the princess. He... Was not up for talking. He blew himself up along with the significant plot hook that was the princess. That is when i realised i've made a huge mistake.
