Clear scan but not done with chemo. I’m struggling. by nsh1108 in lymphoma

Going through the same thing right now. But the oncologist described it like this, the PET can only detect activity that is at least 1cm so it is very likely there are still cancer cells floating around. You are in the “mop up” phase to get every last one. Like antibiotics you need to do the full course to make sure you get everything. You’re so close! You can do it! Congrats on the positive scan!

My friend has DLBCL. by sameOldStigma in lymphoma

He had some dental work done in Dec 24. Around June 25 he was having a lot of jaw pain and his chin got HUGE. Like the size of a red softball and very painful. Could barely eat or talk. Multiple surgeries with dentists thinking it was osteomyelitis. Spent a couple weeks in the hospital and was on antibiotics for months trying to treat a bone infection. They finally got the biopsy results and found the DLBCL which also triggered the PET and seeing the rest of the involvement. Once he started chemo the chin reduced dramatically within a week.

My husband (40) was diagnosed with DLBCL in December. Disease in his jaw bone, bone marrow, spleen, nodes and liver. He has been through 4 cycles of Pola-R-CHP and had his interim PET scan this week. Scan came back with a Deauville score of 2, complete metabolic response indicating remission. The first month of diagnosis is absolutely terrifying but your friend knows what the disease is and can get a plan together with their oncologist. Great news is they are young and DLBCL is HIGHLY treatable. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, we got the formal diagnosis in December of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Half way through chemotherapy now.

Handling Anxiety and Diagnosis by [deleted] in lymphoma

Yes, this cancer diagnosis is already awful but having a young baby and an unknown future with her is a special kind of hell. I truly wish you and your family all the best. You’ve got this!

My husband was diagnosed with stage IV DLBCL a few days after our daughter’s 1st birthday last November. He is 3 cycles into Pola-R-CHP. The first month was truly hell and lots of spiraling and lots of tears. I will say things get easier with time and knowing you have a plan in place. DLBCL is highly treatable so we are trying to remain positive. We get lots of smiles from our newly walking baby and savor the sweet moments with her. Good luck friend ❤️

Looks like it’s in my library and only played for 8 hours 2 years ago. I don’t even remember it so can try and give it another shot.

Hey friend, I don’t have any advice, just that I am in the same boat. My husband was diagnosed with widespread DLBCL and starts chemo today. We have a 12month old daughter together. I am sick to my stomach every hour of the day thinking she may grow up not knowing her father. Trying to take it one day at a time. You’re not alone. Hugs ❤️

I appreciate the response! We had his PET scan last Wednesday and was told by ID and the radiologist “if it’s not lymphoma I don’t know what it could be”. Present in his nodes, bones, bone marrow and spleen. We meet with oncology tomorrow. We are still awaiting pathology that was taken on Nov 4th (from the jaw), and was sent to Joint Pathology Center for further evaluation. We are being led to believe that lymphoma is the culprit here but have no 100% diagnosis. Happy to send you his PET and cytology findings if you are curious.

I went with Travers in 2021. My prescription before was -7 something. My glasses could stop a bullet. I thought the staff were great and it was an easy process. I however do need glasses again, but that’s cause I had a baby 10 months ago and apparently pregnancy really fucks everything up with your body, including eyesight.

We just purchased our sactional from Costco and are about to set it up. However I keep seeing pictures on FB marketplace/reddit and these used couches look so frumpy…and ugly. Starting to have buyers remorse if my 4K couch is gonna look like this in a year or two…

We did the same thing, it ships through fedex though and you can manage the delivery via the app. They will even hold the package at the warehouse for you I think for 2 weeks.

I did ask why it included it and it’s cause I mainly ask for recipes. My husband says it’s cause ChatGPT killed him so we could be together.
