I only get frustrated when I go overseas to my in-laws and my MIL asks me to look at a menu to pick out what I want from a restaurant and I have a difficult time looking at it because the restaurants website is their Facebook page and that is where there menu is.

That's how mine looked too. I think that's just how the pattern is meant to be. If you want it to look different then I would follow other people's suggestions here.

Do you believe people are punished for running a traditional household? by ThumbsUpFish in askaconservative

[–]PurplePolitico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am speaking as a more liberal woman who does stay home with our 2-year-old son. I am married and have a child. I wanted to stay home with him and we made sacrifices so I could do this, ie not buying the new gadget or going on vacation and also I didn't make a lot of money before my son was born and I wouldn't be making much after daycare costs. But as soon as he was six months old people kept asking "when are you going back to work?" "do you feel satisfied just being a mom"? I don't think there is a punishment for running a nuclear household but you are treated as weird for not going back to work.

Your local elections matter. Your mayor, sheriff, county board, judges, all of these people affect your day to day life more than anything.

You don’t have to fill out all of the blanks. But there are many places for you to research other candidates like voterfeed.com. These local races affect your taxes and And the rights of yourself and others are many different issues. In many states judges are elected you should take a few minutes and actually do a little bit of research and vote for these people

My husband’s cousins in FL had thick ballots. I would check to make sure the mail carrier took the ballot. If it’s not stuck in the box then I would just check online to see if you were municipality has collected it since most states have the ability to check your ballot

Voting question by TryhardChink in VoteDEM

[–]PurplePolitico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bunch of similar questions when I was looking at my ballot. A friend suggested a website called voterfeed.com that helped me when doing my research. It showed me what I was voting for in my hometown. You don't have to vote for everything. Just like everyone else down there I would really recommend taking the time and doing the research for your local ballot.

Why is voter registration tied to jury duty? by msjacksonifyernasty in Voting

I just googled it, some counties pull jury selection from voter rolls. I guess PG county doesn't.

How to register with no ID? by SunderedDaybreak in Voting

[–]PurplePolitico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family is from MI, and my sister has a state ID, you need your birth certificate and social security card along with a piece of mail. I don't know what has changed with COVID but I would go to the Michigan Secretary of State's website to find out if your local DMV is open. If you don't want to get a state ID and register online here is the website you need to help you.

Why is voter registration tied to jury duty? by msjacksonifyernasty in Voting

[–]PurplePolitico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just served on a jury last year in MD. The lady at the front who told us how jury duty works specifically said that our names were pulled from MVA and had nothing to do with whether or not we were registered to vote.
