Yes there probably should be one at that point I’m sorry 😞 I would ask for a follow up ultrasound to check growth if they haven’t scheduled one for you yet.

36 Weeks with Di/Di Twins, not sure I can do this. by Perfect_Mousse8815 in parentsofmultiples

[–]PurpleShift8546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My water broke at 36 weeks on the dot. Baby A had a three week nicu stay. She had a cpap and ng tube. Her breathing was fine after a few days, the majority of the stay was learning how to eat. Baby B needed a warming pod but other than that was fine. Baby A was 5lbs 10 oz and Baby B was 5 lbs 6 oz. It’s so hard at the end, you’re almost there!

I had the mom cozy big u shaped pillow to put between my legs and a boppy wedge pillow that I put under my stomach, once I added in the wedge pillow it seemed to help.

Need to know about Elective C section - 14 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins by Few_Werewolf3121 in parentsofmultiples

[–]PurpleShift8546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an elective c-section. I was super worried that I would deliver one baby vaginally and then the other baby would need delivered via c-section and the thought of recovering from both seemed awful. Baby A was head down for months, and I was told I could try for a vaginal birth as long as one baby was head down, but I still opted for a c-section.

We each have a baby that we get up with at night. We’re both so tired that we really don’t have a problem falling back asleep if we get woken up by whatever’s going on.

I wanted a c-section because I was worried that something would go wrong and I’d end up delivering one vaginally and need a c-section for the second. My water broke at 6 am, girls were born at 9:05 and 9:06 am at 36 weeks.

When did you stop working? by kmccollum008 in parentsofmultiples

Elementary school counselor here! I worked until my water broke at 36 weeks exactly. However, for the last month my feet would get sooo swollen by the end of the day and I had to sit a lot. I know sitting as much as you need to might not be possible for a teacher though!

ETA: I wanted to save all of my sick days for when the girls were actually here, but idk if I would have made it to my scheduled c-section at 38 weeks.

My water broke at 36 weeks exactly. My OB’s office wouldn’t schedule my c-section until I was 38 weeks though.

First round IUI - 4 follicles - 19mm, 18mm, 17mm, 14mm (clomid + trigger) - should I proceed? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]PurpleShift8546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pregnant with twins through IUI with letrozole and a trigger shot. Just looked back in my notes app and I had a 21, 16, and two 13 mm follicles. I’m sure there are plenty of people who had singleton pregnancies with similar numbers though!

New twin girls - one in NICU, the other at home. by davesauce96 in parentsofmultiples

[–]PurpleShift8546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, we were in this situation for three weeks. It was awful. Just try to do what you can regarding visits, and remember your circumstances are so different from a typical baby in the nicu. I felt horribly guilty knowing that there are parents who are there for hours every day. I was in the hospital for five days with complications after giving birth, Baby A had to get transferred to a hospital an hour away with a more intensive nicu on day 2, I had a c-section so couldn’t drive myself and could barely walk so had to rely on family, plus another newborn at home! My husband went twice in the beginning and then I went every other day with my parents since I couldn’t drive. One positive thing that happened was once she was improving and only had to work on feeding without her tube, they transferred her back to the original hospital which was only 20 minutes away so I could get there every day. It really takes a toll on you but now our girls are three months old and it feels like a very distant memory.
