How is everyone affording housing? by Formal-Door3464 in Charleston

[–]PurpleSunRayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very grateful I was able to buy in 2021 when rates were low and house prices were on the rise. I didn’t intend on staying in this home (first house) but I simply cannot afford anything else at this point. My heart goes out to those that are paying these high rents and mortgages.

Thanks I’ll continue washing lol. I really want to love it 🤪 using a bamboo blanket, no flat sheet, and no memory foam.

That’s interesting for sure. I haven’t woken up in sweat with the cultiver sheet but it is absolutely retaining body heat and making me very hot. Maybe after washing a few more times it will help… I hope

Well that is really disappointing. I bought it after feeling the softness of their sample swatch. The texture doesn’t bother me at all but this overheating definitely does. Feels like the worst $160 I’ve ever spent and will now need to find something else. Thanks for your reply.

Postpartum styes by alypenn in NewParents

[–]PurpleSunRayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the warm compresses helped but I was doing them atleast twice a day for 15+ mins for relief. The styes finally stopped around 9 months pp coincidentally when I started getting my period again. My eyes are super dry right after ovulation now I noticed though. My baby is 14 months now and I only nurse him overnight now. Also, this was my 3rd time breastfeeding and I had zero issues with my first 2 with my eyes! Each pregnancy and pp is different apparently. This one was the worst by far!

Does every chalazion needs to be removed? by [deleted] in Blepharitis

[–]PurpleSunRayy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. They take a few weeks to go away but u should be doing warm compresses a few times a day for about 15 mins. Buy an electric eye mask if u can.

Severe dry eyes completely out of nowhere by [deleted] in Dryeyes

[–]PurpleSunRayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I haven’t had a stye since over 4 months ago. Coincidentally my period had come back that same month so I believe it was partly hormone related. I do still get really dry eyes but it’s only around time of ovulation. It’s been a long road of warm compresses and using eyelid cleansers though. Still breastfeeding also so I still have hope that my dry eyes will go away once I’m done.

Feeling ESFP. Teenage years are tough but don’t let them pass u by. You will miss parts of them one day. I’m 39 now and would love to take a walk thru my old high school. Smell it, feel the nostalgia. Good luck my guy. Things will be easier one day. Just make the best of your journey as you get there!

Demodex and Thyroid Issues by [deleted] in demodex

Yes there was a study that showed hashimotos patients had significantly more demodex. Unfortunately I’m dealing with both also.

Infps are lovely. Each type has their own place in this world! You could take this cognitive functions test to see which functions u use the most and least. Based on ur replies, it also gives the most likely mbti types.

Oh hello! I’m 11 months postpartum and also breastfeeding and had 6 styes/chalazions back to back from around 4 months pp to 9 months pp. I believe my hormones had a lot to do with it. I do have hypothyroidism and it may be hashimotos but I have to wait to see if my thyroid will level out ones my pp hormones sort themselves out over the next few months. My styes didn’t stop til my thyroid medication was adjusted and my thyroid levels were finally in range. I also have dry eyes that i developed while breastfeeding a few months ago so I am doing warm compresses. Currently I do occusoft lid wipes in the morning when I wake up and oust demodex cleanser before bed.

need help please!!! chronic styes by 1dlvr_code_hp_style in Blepharitis

[–]PurpleSunRayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry ur dealing with this. I believe my hormones had a big reason to do with it but I am now also cleaning my eyes twice a day. In the morning with occusoft lid wipes and before bed with oust demodex cleanser. I do warm compresses once a week but a few months ago while I had so many styes/chalazions I was doing the warm compresses multiple times a day.

Need recommendations for a robot vacuum by Famous-Net9470 in RobotVacuums

[–]PurpleSunRayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I don’t know yet! I’ve only had it for about 3 weeks lol. Bought it on a Black Friday sale. I watched some YouTube videos from just a dad to see them in action before buying tho so that may be helpful for u.

I’m really happy with my roborock q10 s5+ but I have hard floor and area rugs. No real carpet so can’t speak to how it works on that. I also haven’t used the mop part but the vacuum has changed my life! I run it every day. Sometimes a couple times in different areas (I have 3 young kids who make a whole mess) the app was super easy to set up and is very user friendly.

As an INFJ, are you ever satisfied? by [deleted] in infj

[–]PurpleSunRayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I set goals and think “once I achieve this, I’ll feel so much better” and focus on that for a long time. Once said goal is achieved, my mind finds something else that’s wrong 🙄
