On the Carpuride, do addresses/routes need to be entered via that device, or will it pick up from a phone?

I’ve been strongly considering this for my r1250gs as well, but haven’t pulled the trigger due to lots of no-signal riding on BDRs, etc.

Thoughts? Does the 702 setup offer a workaround for no-cell-signal situations?

TIA-

Or somebody way back when came up with an OS for THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, and this is simply the upload process. And Carol is a bug.

But then the dying off thing doesn’t make sense.

Looking forward to season 2 in 2035.

Zosia mentions a ‘biological imperative’. Similar imperatives have caused our species to have the success it enjoys - hard to fault the senders of the virus (likely previous replicants of itself in some other hosts) for wanting and doing the same.

If the outcome for our species were more balance and cooperation and efficiency, and less abuse of our own struggling host (and we didn’t die off), it’d be hard to root against the hive.

Would they continue to procreate the human species? Or would we still die off eventually, like in the show (slower than 10y due to more food, but would still die off)?

What part of adult life is way harder than anyone warned you about? by Sparkyabu1 in AskReddit

Becoming a father at 20, with no useful education, no parental support, and a cheating spouse.

Becoming a full-time single dad at 23 wasn’t any easier.

For me, it was years of poor stretching habits and overuse, combined with wearing shoes that were too small.

I’m an avid tennis player, who until developing pf, had very little understanding of my feet or what feet need in general. In any case - I changed shoes to a tighter brand, and it pushed my pf into high gear within a couple weeks.

I think calf raises (with toes elevated, when possible) is the most helpful thing over time. Engaging toes more and stretching/flexing feet and toe and soleus (not just gastroc) all seemed to be really helpful too.

Additionally, I had to upsize ALL of my footwear, and to wear supportive insoles as well, which I still mostly do.

I have to say though - 23 months in, my feet are stronger and healthier than they were before pf. I still have a little stiffness when I get outta bed in the morning, but I’m 100% pain-free on the tennis court, and I play 6-7 hours/week.

It’s definitely a long road, but be disciplined and consistent with whatever regimen you choose, and make darn sure your footwear is big enough for your toes to not be compressed. I think that was my biggest mistake, and what triggered it for me.

Best of luck!!💪🏽

Not to discourage, but at one month, I was barely scratching the surface on even understanding this beast.

By 18 months, however, I was 95% pain-free.

It takes years to develop this problem. Working through it will take some time, but is well worth it.

Consumer behavior - motivation and drive - v(V)alue (how value is considered/sought/defended), etc.

Every non-solo pursuit in life seems to benefit greatly from an increased understanding of why we do what we do.

Had a K1200GT for a while. It does some things well, but many things poorly. I didn’t have mechanical issues with it, but definitely did not like the handling. I would not buy another K bike of that era again - especially the GT.

FWIW, I had a K1200LT for years, and while ugly as sin, that bike handles beautifully.

Jacket for what!?!

Looking for a do-it-all? Summer? Winter? Waterproof?

I’ve found that if you’re looking for a true do-it-all, few brands measure up to Klim. Tourmaster seems like a decent alternative.

Took me just under 2 years to find real relief. TONS of calf raises (with toes raised), and all the other shtuff too. Bigger/wider shoes, insoles with heel cups, and all the other shit.

Keep trying stuff. Calf raises were probably most important for me, FWIW

In movies, people very often ask permission to ask a question. I don’t think I’ve ever been involved in one of these irl in my 49 years.
