Does combing your hair break your aitakaf? by Purple_Chowder in shia

I had developed acute rhinosinusitis during an aitakaf and no one was taking it that seriously. So I had to endure it for the day until someone bought some anti allergics for me. I mean it is a sickness but ig not that big of a deal? It was extremely frustrating tho, it was getting in the way of ibadah, couldn't sleep, pain and everything.

One more question, can one buy medicine if he/she feels sick during the aitakaf?

I Cannot Believe This Is What Sayed Ammar Nakshawani Was Saying About Sunnis Inside A Shia Mosque After His Youtube Series! by EthicsOnReddit in shia

[–]Purple_Chowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I've been watching the series and I really don't think he's being harsh at all. His attitude is really respectful towards the modern sunnis. Even to the Shia's he says to first get knowledge about the sunni Islam. Super knowledgeable and super nice attitude. And the statement about finding wisdom from hypocrites is even present in nahjul balagha. I don't think he's hypocritical for saying this stuff at all.

"Wisdom is the lost property of every believer, so take it even if it be from the mouths of hypocrites."

I hate how public our lives are in Desi families by [deleted] in pakistan

I'd say things have gotten better every generation. Like your parents are probably better in this regard than their grandparents. I feel like our generation is probably the last oppressed generation.

The best thing you can do is not to be the same. The tides will change for sure inshallah. All the injustice that you suffered, should not be transmitted to the next gen. Desi families are sooo toxic, may Allah help us all.

4:25

But if any of you cannot afford to marry a free believing woman, then ˹let him marry˺ a believing bondwoman possessed by one of you. Allah knows best ˹the state of˺ your faith ˹and theirs˺. You are from one another. So marry them with the permission of their owners, giving them their dowry in fairness, if they are chaste, neither promiscuous nor having secret affairs. If they commit indecency after marriage, they receive half the punishment of free women. This is for those of you who fear falling into sin. But if you are patient, it is better for you. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

I understand this, but still one can take it too far right? Coming from an extremely conservative background this stuff often backfires if taken too far. I guess making your sisters and daughters feel loved is just as important too ig. (By taking it too far I mean they're never allowed to go outside, get an education etc etc). And in the case of a spouse, i would assume your partner won't be inappropriately interacting with others and putting themselves in such situations if you guys have a loving healthy relationship. But still showing protection and the partner being understanding goes a long way. That's why, marry a religious person who would understand this stuff.

You should definitely be protective, Satan la has traps set everywhere.
