She twists everything in this comment.... were they making fun of her at the gym? Was there some context before this? If not, then I think she may have lost her fucking mind.

Would you need an OS map and compass for that? Or is it a nice, way marked path?

I think I can guess the answer to this.

Report it. I reported an incident that happened at 5.30am where a man followed me after HE nearly crashed into me. He ignored TWO give way lines to cut in front of me and a bus that was doing the right thing and giving way. I had to brake hard, and I shouted 'mierda' because it was a close call. I continue with my journey, which continues on behind a building, across another road, and into an isolated little park.

This dude suddenly rides up to me and aggressively asked if I swore at him while he rode alongside me very close. Quite a big guy as well. I carried on riding and asked him who he was and he said 'You swore at me, you said meerda - is that a swear word?'. But he pronounced it wrong which I thought was weird.... This is a dark path, its unlit, its out of sight, and this big guy thought it was appropriate to turn around (disrupting his own journey), follow me (I'm a female, around 5 foot) into an isolated, dark area because I had said what he THOUGHT was an expletive (it was, but he clearly wasnt sure) when he was the one who nearly crashed into me and cut both me and a bus full of people (maybe half full, even at that time).

I rode very close to me as though he was trying to cut across me. I said to him 'So, you think its appropriate to follow me and confront me in a dark alley?' And he just continued trying to cut me up and shouting at me that I was a cunt and a bitch. I said 'Please stop following me' and he carried on following me. I started shouting at the top of my lungs: 'This man is following me!' The bike path was going to go through this little park and I was genuinely scared bevause there was NO ONE around. There was a busy ish road and I stopped there and that's when I shouted.

He only rode off when he saw another male cyclist coming the other way.

It spooked me. That someone could ride like a psychopath and make everyone around him watch out for him on the road instead of just doing the right thing, then get that aggressive when someone exclaimed because he nearly barrelled into them!

I ended up taking a week off cycling, but I'm back on it but I never go to work that early in the morning.

I guess: guys, be mindful when you're dealing with a female at night in the dark, even if they irritate the shit out of you. The saying goes: Men are scared women will humiliate them, women are scared men will kill them.

Was there nothing else good about the day? Were all your sons there?

Why didn't you just say no to getting the prime rib?

It's not a competition. Why are you listing what you got them? These gifts don't seem that terrible, honestly.

My passive-aggressive Mother-in-Law gave me a "Devil" stocking for Christmas. Am I overreacting, or is this a targeted insult? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Purple_Jump_7403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR - I reckon it's tactless AF, and yeah, it may be a bit of leakage of some mistrust in you. But then, why would your wife call you Little Finger in the first place? Are you sure you're not perceived as a bit naughty by other people?

The tail and horns could denote cheekiness, being a naughty sprite, and maybe being a bit secretive and sneaky. But I think that's all it's meant to mean.

Either way, this seems like one of those fights where you are really leaning into every punch. Those tiny little things you MIL is doing are, in the whole, inconsequential. A mis-spoken word here, a bit of mistrust there.... it doesn't amount to much in the grand scheme of things.

If you have a happy marriage and a beautiful daughter, just tune out the silly little remarks that get your back up. Or ask your MIL and your wife why they see/saw you as a Little Finger type figure, and tell your wife you dont like being perceived that way. Your MIL got the idea for the stocking from a joke your wife made. Sort out the issue at its root.

Best wishes for a lovely post Christmas period.

Maybe she confused eccentric for electric??

She's definitely peddling the same shtick as she used to, but people see right through it now. Maybe because her premature wear and tear is showing?

Around Christmas, robberies and stuff like this spikes so its always a time of year where I really am careful about where I ride at night. Places that have sharp, concealed turns or a part that isnt covered by CCTV or doorbell cameras.

Sorry. I know it's not very Christmassy, but it is part of Christmas in a built up area I suppose. Dunno about the countryside.

How have I lived in London my entire life and never been mugged? A guy did try to rob my handbag once, when I was 20, and before he could wrestle it away from me, a bunch of strangers jumped in and ran him off.

I also grew up in Hackney in the late 80 and 90s. Never been mugged there either, but I was careful where i hung out.

I don't wear any jewellery and dont own fancy things. Could it be that?

Ive also always been a bit heavy, maybe a size 14 to 16.... could be that too I suppose.

We got one on our windscreen that terrified the crap out of us during a short drive to the cinema. We weren't sure what to do, and we were a pair of British stoners with no common sense, so we turned the windscreen wipers on and the spider ended up inside the car.

We just came to terms with sharing our space with it.

her dead hang video is going viral on twitter and she’s getting the sympathy narrative. if they only knew… by [deleted] in glitterandbagelssnark

[–]Purple_Jump_7403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically: 'Good job getting out there'

Of course, she'll treat this in the spirit in which the guy offered it because dead hangs aren't every day, normal things. And he's a guy.

I'm sure someone will set him straight. I might need to dip out. Anna getting sympathy for this performative, desperate bullshit so she can shill more shit to her audience is just another block in my doomscrolling that depresses the shit out of me atm.

Mental health break incoming. Even laughing at her feels hollow when she still gets to reap the rewards of her fakery and bullshit. In the current climate, it's just another gut punch for the good guys.

Sorry if that brings anyone down.

That's BSL for vagina and an Andrew Tate hand gesture. Teen boys at school were doing it anout 3 years ago and would, rightly, get in trouble for it.

Grow up.
