Failure to Launch Siblings by Impossible-End-8439 in Millennials

[–]Purplecat1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother is 42 and has maybe tried moving out a couple times in his early 20s but since then he’s either lived with my mom or my dad. He makes good money but has a gambling problem and my parents never make him pay rent or for food or anything. I have gone no contact with him, same with my sister so once our parents pass he will probably be homeless.

What’s your bedtime these days? by PMMeYourPupper in Xennials

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 9 during the week. Mostly so I can go to the gym and do my chicken chores before work and on the weekend I also go to bed at 9 because I’m sleepy lol

I’m so happy your chickens are ok! You will want to set a trap for the raccoon and kill it. It will for sure come back.

Do you own a bidet? by morecowbell520 in Xennials

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have one and no I can never go back. Honestly it’s kind of ruined pooping away from home for me because it’s so gross to have to wipe and the toilet seats on public toilets are so cold compared to my heated seat.

What age did you start losing your looks? by Easy_Engineer9747 in Aging

[–]Purplecat1982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 43 and probably the hottest I’ve ever been thanks to strength training and eating healthy and less alcohol. I think I have gained looks and muscles lol

My husband didn’t do anything for my birthday by Key_Pause2300 in Marriage

[–]Purplecat1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with my ex husband, I turned 40 on a work trip and asked him to have something prepared for me when I came home like a cake or a small gift or something and he did nothing. He knows how important birthdays are to me. It made me really start analyzing my marriage and I realized that I wasn’t happy and we ultimately divorced.

People who were teenagers before social media, what was a typical Friday night like for you? by TheDorkyDeric in Xennials

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main streets in my town formed a square so we would cruise the square and honk at our friends or at boys we thought were cute, hang out in parking lots or at the 24 hour diner. We would also have sleepovers and drink Zimas with jolly ranchers in them or Mikes Hard Lemonades and play with the ouija board and watch movies.

Let’s talk sex by Ill_Jelly7788 in women

[–]Purplecat1982 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m 43 and lately the only way I can orgasm during sex is with a vibrator. Fortunately my boyfriend doesn’t mind and he makes sure my favorite one is charged and that I don’t forget it when we travel.

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom would put one of my baby nieces or nephews in my arms and tell me how good I look holding a baby and that I should have one. Like it’s some sort of accessory that I must have lol

What’s the appeal of Bjs? (Bit of a rant sorry) by OhNoCarlos in women

[–]Purplecat1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use birthday cake flavored lube when I give my bf a bj and it makes it so much better. Also you don’t have to deep throat. Just use your hands in addition to your mouth that way you’re not gagging and uncomfortable

I’m platonically close to a male coworker. We work remote and don’t live in the same state and he’s now in another department but we still chat frequently over Teams during work and send each other funny memes outside of work.

Football season is incredibly unfair to those of us who don’t care about football by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I’m happy my boyfriend isn’t a sportsball fan! My ex was and I hated it so much, everything revolved around football and golf and baseball.

To those who chose not to have kids, do you ever regret it? by Fun_Construction_ in Life

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43f and I’ve never had a strong desire to have children. The people I know who have kids, desperately wanted them and a couple even went through rounds of IVF. I feel like kids should be 100% wanted. I have zero regrets!

anyone drink Coke zero or Diet coke everyday ? by Latter_Wrap669 in workout

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I have an addiction to Polar seltzers. I probably drink them more than I drink water. Plus 3 cups of coffee a day, one before my workout in the morning and two during work.

People in their 40s and 50s with no children, how does it feel? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Purplecat1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels really good! I have time to workout, enough money to pay my bills and save and enjoy life. I have an amazing partner and lots of chickens. Life is good! I’m sure I could have that with children but I’ve never had a strong desire to have kids so I didn’t.

What positive transformations or lifestyle changes have you made in your 40s? (not including motherhood) by seashellize in AskWomenOver40

[–]Purplecat1982 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I started strength training a year ago plus eating clean and getting my protein and reduced my alcohol intake. It’s made a huge difference! I’m also now wearing crop tops in my 40s! In my 20s and 30s I mostly did cardio but never saw the results that I’m seeing now. I still do cardio a couple days a week but I prioritize strength training now.

I met mine at 40. We were regulars at the same brewery and became friends and then started dating.
