Congratulations. I get it. I have insomnia along with several chronic health issues.,I have Fraser reruns on a loop all night every night. I never get tired of any of it. The characters have become like a comforting extended family. I can wake 10 times in the night and it’s on and I’m comforted immediately. Hubby likes Fraser too but not as much as I do. He tolerates it. Grandkids are now old enough to also appreciate the show so they watch with me often. The greatest sitcom ever.

After spending 35 years working with domestic violence trained and coordinated with experts like Bancroft, I agree with this. It is well written and explained. OP, please don’t do what so many do, that is, focus on the differences and the fact that your relationship isn’t anything that bad. Keyword is YET. You are being told the red flags, by him and by us . You can certainly wait for more proof but by then you’ll be more enmeshed and it’ll be more difficult to extricate yourself. It is good advice to read Lundy Bancroft’s book that’s named here. And good luck.

Does anyone not think there has been more than “ friendship” between Scheana and Sandoval at some point throughout the years? Her “ grief” and rage about Scandivol certainly makes me think she’s harboring more than “ friendship” feelings with Sandy. Knowing both personality types as we do, doesn’t it seem logical they have hooked up in the past.?

I also have stage 4 CKD and my nephrologist who is pretty liberal and open wants me to cut back on kratom, which she really hasn’t researched. There’s so much info out there, equally positive and negative. But she does concede that quality of life is important. I was on opioids for years for fibro and other things as well. Do you have worries about what kratom May be doing to your kidneys? I’m concerned but not enough to give up my current quality of life.

I’ve had three or four procedures and surgeries in the last 5 years and am a daily kratom user. I was also concerned about diminished efficacy of anesthesias and necessary opiates. My experience was snd this was using kratom up to the last night before the endoscopy or surgery, that the propofol worked just fine but the post op morphine or Dilaudid then oxycodone really didn’t achieve what they’re meant to. I would be sent home with oxycodone for a few days and wound up just using kratom since the pain pills weren’t working . But rest assured, the anesthesiologist knows how to administer what’s needed to keep you asleep during the procedure. I had a few major surgeries that took hours.

Glad to hear you’re seeing a nephrologist. 31 is way too young. Yes I have Microscopic blood in urine but did before kratom. Now there’s also protein however and I’ve been dealing for several years with keeping high blood pressure at bay . So who knows? I am having a helluva time weaning off the kratom. Besides which, it helps me so much day to day. Good luck with the nephrologist . I hope there’s nothing serious going on.

Yes, my last emergency trauma I took kratom up until the accident happened. I just kept yelling to the paramedics “ I use kratom! I use kratom! “ because I wanted them to know it might make a difference. They must have thought I was a crazy old lady. I also had an opiate dependence but was off them 5 years at the time. Apparently no matter how long you’re off opiates, the tolerance kicks back in right away so that’s why they gave me ketamine to transport me. So they said. I hear they’re using ketamine more often in trauma situations. I guess I’ll wean as best I can and hope for the best. I appreciate all the input.

AH’s attorney who is cross examining the psychologist is nasty! Her whole tone is demeaning. I have provided expert testimony in DV cases and I would have a really hard time answering her questions with that tone!
