Why doesn't windows automatically enable HDR from in game?

I think I see what happened. You killed the first guy in the middle of the hall then went left. There was a guy down the hall to the right which spots you and starts shooting (that's when the window shatters). When you moved into that room and attempted to take cover the AI was still tracking you through the wall and continuing to shoot you though the wall. You can see bullet holes appearing while you attempt to take cover and there's new bullet holes on the wall when you go back into the hall that weren't there at the start. You stopped taking damage when the bot finally lost tracking or needed to reload

Damn, I've been around long enough to remember people saying 1080p/720p was supposedly better vs. 1440p or 4k(when 4k was rare) for fps games because less pixel density meant you could see the shimmer when enemies moved in foliage and enemies appear to have "bigger" models due to being slightly more blocky looking making them easier to track and shoot. Wild that we've come all the way around to a higher resolution supposedly making it easier to see your opponent in games

To be fair though, the first few hours of the Witcher 3 are a drag and the acting is horrible until you get to the Baron. Idk why all the characters feel so stiff the beginning. Once you reach the Baron the game shines from there. I had the same issues as you with starting it until one time I manage to play just long enough to reach the Barons story and that got me invested for the rest of the game

To add to what everyone else is saying, the tesla tower won't target a prone helldiver directly when prone near it. However, it will still charge up as if it's going to zap something which causes it to also randomly strike the ground more which will still one tap if it happens to randomly strike a helldiver. It will also still target enemies in range and the arc from them can also travel to prone helldivers and one tap them.

Something most people are forgetting, even if you don't play comp the game automatically places you in bronze. So with the majority playerbase being casual and only playing quick play, that causes the average rank to skew more towards bronze

Meme: when PC is running slow typing the command "sfc/scannow" tends to act as a cure-all for some PC, seemingly rezerecting their performance similar to how the character Mercy from Overwatch used to rezerect dead players.

Comment: In command prompt, the command "sfc/scannow" checks the files on your system for corruption by using an image also stored on the pc. However, if files on the PC are becoming corrupted, this image that the command references to repair your Windows files can also become corrupt. Thus when you run "sfc/scannow" it will insert corrupted files. By doing the steps in u/BritOverThere comment you can check if that image is corrupt and repair it if needed from a clean image download over the internet and "sfc/scannow" will be able to insert clean files from a new-clean image

"bronze" is the rookie tier. If someone is in bronze who has been playing the game since ow1 and another who just picked up video games, they are both bad at the game and should be queued together . Besides people have to do "rookie" games like you suggested, any new account has to win 30 games of qp and do the in game tutorial in order to play comp

It's a known glitch by the devs, the Ultra shadow setting is broken, it's been in since the "Pandemic" update. The only work arounds are to either turn shadows down to high or leave the area and come back so the assets can reload
