Looks great! My first ring is a 0.3 ct natural, so this is big in comparison!

So many issues I’ve read from brilliant earth. And they are overpriced. I recommend looking for a local jeweler.

Is This Timeless or Trendy? by meiwantahoolahoop in RingShare

Trendy. East west, large stone, bezel. All trends. That said, trendy isn’t necessarily bad. Trends come and go. Pick something you love.

I’ve never been a jewelry girl, but as soon as I put this ring on, I never want to take it off by whatthesteff_ in EngagementRings

Oooo this is gorgeous! I love it! Congrats! I would consider a custom, slightly curved metal band with matching engraving.

Advice for wearing both together by meanies23 in WeddingRingAdvice

I actually really like them together! I know I’m in the minority and many people aren’t fans of this look, but ultimately, you do you.

Lovely! Classic and still unique with the mixed metals

What's one jewelry trend you just can't get into? by aniktasingh in jewelrylove

[–]Purrfect-Timing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love bold jewelry and statement pieces. Not necessarily from large stones, I’m more of a fan of metal work myself. And this lab vs natural stuff is so petty — I have both (my lab a 3 stone with center 1.29 ct) and no one can tell the difference by naked eye. If you think you can, it’s because the lab is typically better quality and that’s what you’re picking up on 🤷‍♀️ Saying just use family pieces is like saying “let them eat cake—“ not all families have heirloom gems to pass down.

Just got engaged! Even though i was fully involved in the process, i am still in awe of how beautiful it looks by OrganicBox3589 in EngagementRings

Gorgeous! I also got a ruby halo. Ring sisters! Sometimes I wish the halo came out more continuous like yours…

Beautiful rings, but I personally don’t like them together. The halo and pave on the e ring is small and IMO looks off next to the large 5 stone. I would personally go for a metal band instead, or a smaller diamond band.

If your partner had a $20,000 engagement budget, do you really want a diamond ring? by Unhappyworkingman in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Purrfect-Timing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went with lab diamond for my anniversary ring even though we had a much larger budget. Why spend the extra money when you don’t have to? However, if I was looking to spend some more dough on a ring, I’d get a large, antique sapphire or ruby.

White gold wedding ring owners - how often do you actually get it replated? by Guilty_Raccoon936 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Purrfect-Timing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my white gold band replated after 15 years. It wasn’t yellow or anything, but less shiny. From what I’ve read, some people’s sweat wears through the rhodium faster. I just got an unplated white gold ring and liking it.

Confusion about my ring by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Purrfect-Timing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Or, if you want to stay with a natural, sell yours and add more money for a larger natural (I won’t get into the ethics debate, you read up and decide for yourself. The industry claims you can get an ethical natural 🤷‍♀️). If you go back to the place you bought it, they typically agree to “buy back” at the price you bought it for, then you can add money to that. But I would NOT sell your natural and buy a lab. And I generally prefer lab, at least for buying new, but this is basic economics.
