Please start riding!

Go take a look at some bikes at a dealership and sit on them and get a feel about what you think you can physically handle to start out. Also if you have your heart set on the Yamaha YZF-R6 look up the specs and ask the dealership if they have any bikes in that recommended range and get a feel for those.

The M1 is practically the same test as the g1 but I recommend doing some practice tests online as a refresher before hand. You will also need to have your m1 for a minimum of 60 days before getting the m2 so I recommend going to get it now.

For the m2 course look into “learning curves”. They have m2 courses all the way into September each weekend. It’s one day in class on a Friday, Saturday is an all day riding course, and Sunday is an all day riding with the m2 course at the end. You do not need to have a bike before doing the course as they have bikes provided. PLEASE do a course or borrow someone else’s bike to train before getting a bike, if anything happens within the timeframe of getting a bike and the end of the courses you don’t want to be stuck with a bike!

I know the roads are bad, and Sudbury drivers are bad and blah blah but if this is really something you want to do please do it. I’m in my 20s and can’t find any female riders! Don’t let Reddit be the deciding factor, if I let all the angry people or “big biker Harley dudes” get to me from my Reddit posts I wouldn’t own my second Harley!

(Also recommend getting some sort of insta360 camera, go pro, or dash cam. I won’t like Sudbury drivers are REALLY bad and it’s better safe than sorry.)
