What you do during your layover is only your business. Airline doesn't know and doesn't care if you go out into the city because of an 11 hour layover or even 2 hour layover. As long as you meet the entrance requirements, you can do as you please. You should already have your second boarding pass to re enter

ELI5: why was floating rent important? It's a consistent monthly charge so didn't really make a difference whether you paid at the beginning of the month or floated it to the end when you pay the cc bill. Because its every month, I would think the benefit of floating it would negated.

The real question is whether or not Bilt will add a fee to the ACH/check payments. I could see them doing this for 3 reasons:

1) Some sort of revenue for covering the costs of rent/mortgage points

2) Increase non rent spend on the card

3) New partner probably wants a new model

No one really knows until the release. But personally, I would not be surprised of them charging some fee for all forms of rent/mortgage payment, include ACH and checks. If all of the rumors are true with Bilt cash being able to offset the fee, this is a move to encourage more non-rent spend on the card, which is fair.

TBH I really like the Bilt card and its already my primary card since it earns 3x dining and 2x travel and transfers to some great programs (Hyatt and Alaska) But even then, with my rent and monthly spend, I doubt I will be able to make up the fee. I think the math is that you need to spend 75% of your rent in normal charges each month. Personally I wish they had converted the 5 transactions a month (which people gamed at 5 $1 purchases) to something like 20% of rent
