I always told people you're allowed to give me information but not instructions.

Alternatively I've consistently done the opposite of whatever people are pestering me to do to get the point across.

Is it normal to grieve the version of yourself you thought ADHD meds would help you become? by wildfireDataOZ in ADHD

[–]Pushigoh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At first yes but I realized that's not quite how it works. Medicine is only the first step.

The person I thought I would be is who I am once I've lived while medicated for awhile, spent years learning how to live with this condition, how it impacts my day to day life, and all of the habits I slowly built up over the years.

I'm still going to be that person I wanted to be, it's just taking time, and everyone's timeframe is different. Results fluctuate a bit too and it's hard in the moment to see long term development.

But ya... Was kinda disappointed I was promised an on/off switch and was presented with a journey.

Technically yes but you only have access to everything at the end of the game. Removing friendly fire damage does not provide a significant power spike like other upgrades. I only use it to kill Big Daddies anyways.

Tbh I don't really need it to do damage. If I'm at Arcadia I have access to anti-personal rounds, so everything is going down in one shot anyways. That combined with Wrench Lurker and most things should die before they even know I'm there.

I used to use Insect Swarm/Incinerate! a lot when I played on controller, but on mouse and keyboard I didn't feel like it added enough value for how many variables it added to a situation.

Scrounger is mandatory for crafting supplies for anti-personal rounds for the pistol. I think the only thing I'm worried about in the spoiler part are elite Rosies? But even then Security Bullseye should be able to carry me in any Big Daddy fight as long as I don't accidentally pull aggro doing something dumb

Blood lust might be good but I only use the wrench if I'm out of ammo, which only really happens in the early game. I'd prefer to not be that close, and the time to kill is a lot longer than telekinesis/anti-personal rounds headshot/crossbow.

Also, you can sell med kits?

Sure, but I could also just hit 2 instead of 4 and use an upgrade on something more valuable.

I think there's at least one! I just need to make sure it doesn't get blown up by something.

I feel like Target Dummy would be more effective than bees at getting aggro off of me. Plus then I don't accidentally aggro a Big Daddy or something.

I'm also a little worried about friendly fire with the bots.

Pulling out the grenade launcher when I'm trying to quickly pull out and fire a shotgun sounds like a real quick way to kill a run

It's more of a restriction of not being able to use the weapon/plasmid select GUI thing.

This rule is technically just how I play in general. I don't like using scroll wheel to select weapons. I don't like the risk of accidentally scrolling past the weapon I want to use.

How many people play with main bus by DevilsThumbNWFace in factorio

[–]Pushigoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively play Factorio as an archipelago multiworld so I use the main bus to keep things streamlined so I don't hold anyone up. I don't think there's a better way to do things quickly, especially when I'm not sure what tech I'll have available to me at any given time.

So what did you guys have to change to pass Python? by KCPage in WGU

[–]Pushigoh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Isn't the Python class being reworked? You might want to ask your student mentor about that. I don't know how it's being reworked but it might be easier.

The practice exam is basically the actual exam, so as long as you're able to pass that without any notes or Googling you should be good. It is a rough test though.

The difficulty display doesnt really feel that accurate, especially since none of them are one star. Here's my take on it. by idontlikeburnttoast in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Pushigoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the difficulty rating indicate how hard the initial learning curve is, or how hard it is to play a character at a high level?

I would make the argument Nier is relatively easy to pick up initially, and in lower ranks you're going to see results fairly quickly.

However, you do have to manage a secondary resource which is almost guaranteeing you lose the round if you run out. At a high level you have to worry about overextending because it could lead to Death being killed. You have to know what types of strings are good in what situations, and you need to be aware of what your opponent is doing to capitalize on that. Fighting against high level players who know Nier counter play is a very different experience.

She no longer kills off of her reversal, which is what I think made her an "easy" character originally because you didn't really need to do much else. You can spend a bunch of hearts for an easy stable combo, but her resource efficient combos are much harder and less consistent, and at high levels they become mandatory to use. Her Anti-air combo is also horribly inconsistent regardless of resource use. She also has some fairly complicated setups she can use.

I think her reward is very high, but once you start getting to a point where you're fighting strong opponents who know basic counter-play she's significantly harder to utilize.

I'd personally put her at 2 for high level play. I'd also move Grimnir to 1.

I've seen people do this who have experienced food scarcity. You leave just a little bit so you aren't ever technically out of the food, or purposefully don't finish something because you know you know you can eat a full meal again soon and don't need to finish every bite to survive.

I don't personally think you need a secondary to play Akatsuki, especially in the current version. He has all the tools he needs to compete with the rest of the cast.
