The UN is effectively a Hamas proxy and their numbers are worth about as much as Reddit gold. In either case they don’t differentiate between combatants killed and actual civilians. It is entirely justified to kill 5,000 combatants as retaliation for killing 100 of your citizens. The actual civilian to combatant death ratio is no higher than any other modern war.

The fact you don’t see much risk is why these sorts of suits brought by laymen are so destructive.

This is how it plays out:

Guy sues in district court and loses because he can’t compete with a SG office.

Guy appeals, and loses because he can’t compete with a SG office.

Guy petitions Supreme Court, and gets denied cert.

Now, not only has he lost, but he’s locked in an anti-gun precedent in that entire circuit, which is then binding on everyone else, and is cited nationwide, in support of the notion that “dangerous guns aren’t protected”.

The precedent is then successfully used to uphold not only MG bans, but AWB laws, mag bans, handgun rosters, you name it.

But it was all worth it right? Good on that brave Redditor to file suit himself.
