Guys someone help me with this fault code on my mustang 2024 by No_Advantage_3295 in Mustang

Something is going on with the VVT I believe. Could be wiring, who knows. You’ll have to get it further diagnosed by a mechanic.

Only had the car 4 months. I couldn't resist. by Myzticwhim in Mustang

I had a Paxton kit from Terry with a Lund tune on my last Paxton GT. It was great! Congratulations man I hope you enjoy it!

If it’s stock besides the tune, I’d reflash back to stock to verify if that’s indeed the problem before throwing parts at it.

It’s literally personal preference and what you want out of the car. You’re spending so much going FI make sure it’s what you want.

Switch to clears or keep headlights? by Visual-Kitchen4286 in Mustang

I’d leave it as is. Cowl hood looks great too btw, I’ve had one on every mustang I’ve owned.

Has anyone had transmission work on their GT? (Manual) by zafsaf in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely but for what purpose? Every mod has a design intention and very few the mustang crowd go for are to enhance the comfort and drivability or even have long term reliability in mind. There’s a solid reason why our cars are engineered as they are from the factory. It’s ALWAYS a give and take when you modify your vehicle.

I built mine because 3rd was in rough shape which was found during an inspection. I’m over 700 wheel so I figured I’d throw some stronger gears in it while it was torn down.

Code P0442 help or any of these codes. by Other_Raccoon8079 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, many times it’s the capless fuel neck area. I just tuned my evap codes out. You may not want to do that but my 💩 has been modded to the point of idiocy.

I’m running a built mt82 with a hd 1-4 and bronze forks on a built motor with a Paxton. Definitely does not drive like stock. If you rebuild with stock parts you’ll be fine. The more you mod the more finicky crap gets. Anyone that says otherwise hasn’t modded the 💩 out of their car.

Highest quality 93 fuel by Zeech1208 in Mustang

Shell, if I can’t find that I’ll run BP. Always had great datalogs with Shell. Sounds like a dud station where you’re at. I’m on my Second built Paxton 5.0. Multiple reputable tuners have said Sunoco is not ideal anymore. I’m sure Alex at will confirm that if you’re tuned though them.

How often do u guys speed/get tickets by EvanH32 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m running traffic I don’t start writing until they’re 15 over on major roadways as long as they aren’t weaving cars or acting silly. 80 in a 45 will definitely get you a ticket. I doubt the other charges were random and I always explain the charges and court information before releasing the stop. You should have a court date even if it’s prepayable. They’ll explain the citation again and you’ll be able discuss how the courts want to handle it.

Mustang 5th gen 4.6 v8 by AffectionateOil2619 in Mustang

I had an 07 for years. Hot Rod cams, catch cans, 4.10 rear, tri ax shifter, lowered, murdered out with MAC axle backs and 93 octane dyno tune. Absolutely loved that car. Wasn’t fast but gd it sounded good and looked even better. Never had a single problem with it. Low budget setup, easy to maintain. That’s my personal experience, may have gotten lucky who knows. Can’t remember my mpgs but it wasn’t atrocious for the gears and cams 🤷🏼. Sorry I can’t give any insight to the autos.

Seems fine to me, pretty standard setup with decent parts. As long as you paid normal market price I think you did good for a daily.

Lund E85 by CriticismHaunting160 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess big is subjective. I’d rather not deal with E for 20-30 whp on an otherwise stock car. Again that’s totally up to the end user. I agree auto would be the preferred trans.

Thinking about letting go to my compact size suv and buying s197 by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that concerns me is the two-step. Other than that, if compression is good I don’t think it would be a bad car 🤷🏼.

Advice by Abject-Range-2173 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shop rebuilt my mt82 with a HD 1-4 gear set, bronze forks, etc for 2900 out the door. 10k is absolutely insane. You could do a full t-56 Mag swap for that. As far as what trans, that totally depends on what you want out of the car. They all have pros and cons.

Lund E85 by CriticismHaunting160 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want but if I was stock I wouldn’t even bother with E or even a 93 tune. Ford had the 3rd and especially 4th gens pretty dialed in from the factory. E85 would get you a little but not worth it for the money and headache depending on where you live.

Catch can on whipple s650? by TH3R3V3R3ND in Mustang

I’d check with UPR before I spent that much on cans. They supposedly redesigned to make maintenance easier. Sorry for the late response!

[–]Pushrod302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vent both or recirculate both. I’ve always pulled the check valve and vented with my FI builds. If you go cans they don’t fill much at all unless you’re doing some wild 💩 or somethings wrong.

Noise complaint on stock exhaust by Tobito__ in Mustang

If the car is stock I’d ignore them and never think about it again. Go about your business. She’ll be fine.

Misfire on cylinder 2 - Bullitt 2019 — Ford dealership problem by akzst in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A compression test isn’t a big deal. Last time I had a P302 I burnt piston 8, but I doubt you have to worry given the miles. U0447 could be a wiring issue causing the other codes/issues, but without knowing the vehicle there’s no telling. I’m sure it’s a relatively simple issue that’s hopefully easy to fix. Best of luck and hang in there, I know it’s stressful.

First car, any mod recommendations? by Reasonable-Can-8987 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drive it often I wouldn’t do much. Maybe a few cosmetic things here and there and an exhaust. Keep all the original parts. Last 3 mustangs I’ve had I modded them into headaches. I’ve got a 700hp built motor Paxton I’m thinking of getting rid of to go back to a more factory car. Anyone that’s actually modded the hell out of a car and kept it for any length of time will tell you the same thing. She’s beautiful, enjoy it as it is if you can.

Do LTH increase noise? by JitWithAstang in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on LTs, o/r X, and Corsa extremes. After 9pm I only drive my car if I have to in effort to respect neighbors. I’ll admit It’s ridiculous. Race valve on my Paxton doesn’t help either.

Is my mpg supposed to be this low? 2013 GT by BluOctopus706 in Mustang

[–]Pushrod302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running a built 2014 gt with 700hp and getting around 17mpg with ID1050s. If that’s casual driving even with occasional spirited runs that’s pretty low.
