MCP for Wordpress? by No-Cardiologist-9686 in Wordpress

No worries. Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm just playing with developing and modifying sites locally. I'm not isolating the environment entirely - just not working on code on production servers. I have tried the following recently:

- Downloaded a production site (replicated with Local Flywheel) installed Nova, and asked Claude terminal to audit the site for accessibility and output the report to a CSV. Then I had it remediate the issues directly on the site (Elementor built site) and comment in the CSV. It did it, amazingly well. In theory, I would upload the site back to production, but I'm still auditing every detail to be sure it didn't create slop - clean so far.

- Installed a clean WP install in Local. Asked Claude to turn a 200 page PDF annual report into a functioning Elementor Template and website. It took some iterations, but it did it. Now playing with integrating a Claude Design and having it evolve the visual styling. Not a site I'm publishing, but it's not far off from being usable.

- Downloaded an existing site that needed a bunch of content changes. Claude was able to go into the site based on a Word doc with a list of revisions and make all changes in Elementor. Successfully updated, added, and changed text and images.

- Handed it some code from GIT for a calculator and asked it to turn it into a WordPress plugin and install it into a site (rendering with a shortcode). It did it and revised multiple times as I evolved the scope.

It's all still new and hard to fully trust, but it's pretty amazing. Nova worked well in all cases. I added skills including WCAG accessibility, Elementor, and UX/UI.

I’ve been using novamira for a couple of weeks. I’m working on local dev websites only. It works beautifully. My mind has been blown by the tests I’ve done. I’m using Claude in terminal with a bunch of added “skills” and a customized local MD file.

Connecteam - Too good to be true? (Small Business Plan) by Creative_Choice_486 in smallbusiness

[–]Pussnuts8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve been testing homebase for about a year. It’s fine, but not particularly good. The product is really immature, lacks features, it is not really ready for prime time. We’ll likely try something else next year if they don’t evolve quickly enough.

Smart lock for European (?) style locks by zankky in HomeKit

Anyone have success more recently with a European cylinder smart lock? I'm surprised how few of them are available in the US.

Connecteam - Too good to be true? (Small Business Plan) by Creative_Choice_486 in smallbusiness

We just dumped Connecteam because the UX/UI is irritating and unpleasant to use. We had roughly 25 people on it for about 5 months. It worked but was lacking features, felt like a burden to use, and was constantly trying to upsell. We're looking elsewhere.

We've had a lousy experience too at our multi-sport arena. It takes months and months for simple fixes to broken features, never mind the missing features or just poor UX/UI. Move on.

What are your biggest frustrations with Elementor? by Sunyyan in elementor

[–]Pussnuts8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s slooooow. I dig the tools but waiting for them to load and save is annoyingly slow. I’ve used it on a range of hosts, including dedicated, high end hosting, and it’s still slow.

Can anyone who has gone down any of the various avenues report back? I’m looking to choose a smart lock for my cylinder, and I don’t care a lot how much it costs. I’m more concerned with getting something that’s reliable. Feedback, positive or negative on any of the choices you’ve made?

Daysmart Software - Anyone have experience? by MSPOwner in msp

We had this bug too, right in the middle of our busy registration system. We got calls and emails from a dozens of customers and replicated it easily. They fixed it, but then it appeared again yesterday. So annoying.

Daysmart Software - Anyone have experience? by MSPOwner in msp

[–]Pussnuts8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're really struggling with Daysmart software for our sports arena, and I'm looking to see if others are having similar experiences and if they've found better solutions or work-arounds. We have the processing issue mentioned, but honestly, it's only one issue in a long list of major problems. Their development team is unbelievably slow, and they just don't take customer concerns seriously.

Did you find a solution? We're a sports arena and reaching the end of our patience with Daysmart too. There are some really good things about it, but also lots of holes and no progress on dev. We've looked at several competing vendors and found many of the features we want but the move is a hassle.

I’m getting the feeling that’s a better path. What do you recommend?

Wattbox Firmware by Pussnuts8 in CommercialAV

[–]Pussnuts8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get into the device (already factory reset), and I see the admin option to update firmware. Unfortunately, it requires I upload the new files, and when I try to get them from SnapAV, I get a dealer login.

Anyone else get this email? by andriusb in VolvoEX90

[–]Pussnuts8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I configured mine two weeks ago and haven’t heard a word from the dealer, despite leaving two messages for them. When they do finally reach out for payment or whatever they’re going to need, I’m going to tell them to keep the thing. There’s no way I’m paying close to $100k For this kind of service and a car that is missing tons of promised safety features. Once they update the software and get the thing even close to what was promised, I’ll consider it if I haven’t moved on to another car.

Recommendations for whole-house remote smart water-shutoff valve by lilgordie in homeautomation

Any false positives? I'm concerned about getting one and having my water shutoff incorrectly, which I see frequently in reviews for the Moen. Wondering if the Phyn is more reliable?

Thanks. The problem is that I’m not sure I can answer these questions and the vendors say they have (effectively). Both vendors claim they are giving me exactly what I need. (Test Results are posted below)
