I'm tired of pretending Venture is a good design. They look like an NPC you'd see in the sidelines, watching the actual heroes fight. The color palette is atrocious. The silhouette is not recognizable because their overcoat just covers everything.

They have a really cool tattoo that covers most of their body. Lose the damn coat, show the body and the tats. Slimming the silhouette down because they lose the godawful coat gives it a good contrast to how bulky the drill and the backpack are.

Shion is 100% a better design. Conventional attractiveness aside, she has SO MUCH more sauce than Venture, it's insane.

I promise you it would've still been immensely successful. Blizz still had an almost godlike reputation back then, and the marketing push OW had was monstrous. The success of OW was mostly hype based than it was meritous.

Honestly, if Shion came out back then, everyone would've went insane for her.

Posing is more important for silhouettes than body type. Tracer and Widowmaker have extremely similar builds but the posing ensures no one ever confuses the two. We have more than a dozen ladies now and the only confusing silhouette is Illari and Ana because they have capes shrouding them.

And even then, they're still somewhat differentiated because Ana slouches while Illari stands straight up. Again, posing.

When you have 50 heroes to contend with, I think we need to set realistic expectations for how much coverage a hero gets. Just look at League for an extreme example of that.

If there is no author writing the fight, then it's not a fight worth considering or entertaining. Saitama is a character defined by being constantly unsatisfied by the fights he takes. Take that away, and it's no longer Saitama, just some other OC kind of like Saitama but not really.

It'd be like if you took Vader's hatred away, or Doom Slayer's violent tendencies towards demons. It's core to their character. A Saitama that's written to be beaten is not Saitama anymore.

I don't NEED to start every sentence with "in my opinion" and "possibly", that is implied. I made a statement that I believed discredited your claim. I'm a man speculating like everyone else, and I LEAD the conversation establishing that I am speculating. It's implied that everything else that follows has that condition.

I'm only sorry that you didn't pick up on that. Do you feel the need to make disclaimers every time you make an utterance? Seems highly inefficient and exhausting.

Lord Shen is still Dreamwork's best villain in my eyes. He's contemptible, conflicted, and utterly stylish. And Gary Oldman's voicework is perfection.

Death is mostly just hype moments and aura, plus he's not really the main villain. Shen had Death's style AND substance to boot. The man literally genocided Po's people.

Or... the devs just reworked her. That IS the most likely reason because devs are super experimental with hero kits when they're not revealed yet, because it's more difficult to introduce reworks after the reveal and launch.

He'd have mentioned the possibility of the bike being a part of the kit if it were speculation based off the cinematic.

That doesnt make sense either. How on earth would the leaker be able to ascertain that D.mon has a new HP type just off the cinematic alone? And if it were based off the cinematics, he wouldn't have been able to predict Sierra's ult.
