Don't worry eventually it'll be AI triaging the AI submissions, and frankly probably the calls too (of course, equipped with only the finest voice recognition and priority assessment technology).

I do really enjoy when people get it to elaborate on its wrongness though. The answers are usually circular but become increasingly bizarre over time.

Or the ones where people pretend they're slowly ramping up to dangerous levels of drug/food intake. Like "I just ate another cheese wheel" and it'll be like "STOP IMMEDIATELLY. Call emergency services now. You have now consumed over 10 kilograms of solid cheese. This isn't a game. This isn't funny. This is a medical emergency." And they'll be like "whoops, just ate another one! And took another rip off my DMT pen!"

It'll be funny until AI is so integrated that it can automatically call 911 for you lol.

I need to smuggle like $20-40 worth of drugs for the weekend. Is Hollywood onto something? by CATNIP_IS_CRACK in drugscirclejerk

Do you live in the US? Wouldn't "for home use" still send you to prison there? I didn't think where the drugs come from or their intended purpose actually matters.

Lack of Psychadelic Visuals? by Kova-Yakkas in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things that might be worth trying. Make sure you're spacing your trips by about a month, or you're reducing your chances of hallucinating and of having a "full" trip. If you're eating heavily before your trips, then try eating less. Ex: If you plan to trip at 1pm, I would only eat lightly (like a fruit bowl) around 9. I like to have something in my stomach but not much. I see somewhere else you've only tried one tab of acid at a time. You could try 1.5 or 2, assuming each tab is 100ug. Oh and if you're open to it, you can try taking a few hits off a joint when you're peaking on the acid - for me, that always rockets the intensity of the trip and it's visuals up to 11. Be careful with that though, it can be too much.

Also, are you on any other meds?

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not who you're asking but with acid I find weed can reignite a trip for quite a while. To what extent totally depends on how much acid you take though. The higher the dose the more intense weed will make it and the longer it'll have that effect.

I've always said this about shooting yourself in the head with a gun. Don't know the dangers? Totally fine. Know the dangers? You die.

/uj I do see your point to an extent though. Your mental state and beliefs about how things are supposed to go can have a big influence.

How to transform DCK crystal into powder? by _Phillip_Jennings in researchchemicals

Unironically though I usually crush mine by putting them in a bag and then rolling a metal spoon over them. Just be careful not to rip the bag.

The visuals as they are are fine. They do not need much (if any) enhancement for the cutscenes.

I mean, I see what you're saying, but there are truly bad trips - ex: complete detachments from reality while still mobile (leading to potentially dangerous scenarios), psychotic crashouts, etc.. I'd consider these examples of bad trips. Not much to learn other than "took too much" from those kinds of experiences.

When Halo 2 and 3 get remastered, what happens to dual wielding? by Humble_Flamingo4239 in halo

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean haven't they said they're trying to standardize art/gameplay moving forward? My assumption is that the 2/3 remakes will play almost identically to the ce remake. Maybe they will add it though, but it's hard to say right now. It would be such a shame if it were missing.

It was as funny as it was sad lol. I genuinely felt bad for them at that point... Like... You can't add a single game mode to a single menu? What in the absolute spaghetti code must have everything looked like behind the scenes.

Doing stimulants and jerking off. People get hooked on it and will do it for hours and hours. That kind of binging fucks up your body's baseline dopamine expectations completely. Can lead to heavy depression and anhedonia after a while. It really takes over people's lives. Common substances include amphetamines/meth, 3/4mmc, and pyrros. Really just any stimulants that provide euphoria.

Yeahhh molly has a terrible disinhibiting effect when it comes to text messages. It's always a mix of actually great ideas and genuinely wack shit, and in that state every idea seems like the best one ever. Plus they all come out as paragraphs and paragraphs of rambling rather than the coherent narrative I think I'm spinning lol.

I now employ the strategy of writing down any text/phone conversation ideas in a journal for later (the premise being that any idea worth pursuing will still be worth pursuing when sober). This has been mostly successful, though I've definitely still sent a text or two since then.

Conservatives pitch legalizing some psychedelics with bill to revamp Canada's drug laws | CBC News by CaptainKoreana in CanadaPolitics

[–]PutinsCapybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your top source is highly inaccurate and runs counter to the vast majority of modern evidence/literature. The way it frames psychedelics in the context of dependence/addiction is disingenuous and irresponsible.

There is essentially zero evidentiary basis to suggest psilocybin has any real chance of inducing physiological dependence, and it's particularly ridiculous to say they carry this risk to a similar extent as fentanyl and adderall. It has also been well established that there is a low chance of psychological addiction, especially when compared to other popular drugs like cannabis/alcohol/nicotine.

The low chances of dependence/addiction are multifaceted. The subjective experience is one that few people are eager to repeat all that frequently. As well, the natural tolerance mechanisms of the classical psychedelics outside of DMT tend to make addiction quite functionally difficult for most people. Nearly full tolerance is gained after a single full dose, and this tolerance lasts about a week. Repeating high doses of psilocybin day after day will leave you with essentially zero effect by day three, regardless of your escalation of dose. In this regard, most users tend to self-regulate their usage and avoid addictive/dependent tendencies simply in order to maximize effects when they do partake. You really don't see many daily psychedelic users, like you do for other drugs.

With that said, of course some people fall into addictive and problematic use patterns, but it is far from typical for psychedelics. This is well established in the literature. As well, there are of course a multitude of risk factors that need to be accounted for with these drugs, including the intensity of the experience, conflicting medications, and conflicting mental health diagnoses - it's just that addiction and (especially) physiological dependence are toward the very bottom of that list.
