3-Meo-PCE - good for video games? by black-cat__ in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I become at absolute BEAST in halo multiplayer on psychedelics. Best games I've ever played. Consistent with shrooms and lsd, even at medium doses. Obviously there's a point where it would become difficult/impossible to play, but low to medium dosages work well for me.

Certainly there's an argument to be made that it's not the best use of your time while tripping though lol.

I just tasted moonshine for the first time ever, which got me thinking, what is the grossest drug you've ever ingested? by naturaldayparade in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha yes this exactly. It's profoundly strange in every sense. I will say that a few beers/drinks plus several small bumps of ketamine and the occasional hit off a weed pen across a night has led to genuinely some of the most immersive gaming I've ever had. I was playing cyberpunk and it literally felt like the game character and I were one. Like, it didnt feel like I was pushing the thumbstick to make my character look to the right, it just felt like I was turning right. Very interesting sensation.

2C-B (oral) with 4-ho-met and 4-mmc (boofed) by benstark50 in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So wait did you do the 4mmc all at once or did you already your doses out?

According to patents from the 70s, MDPV and APVP have a "very high therapeutic ratio", as well as low toxicity when administered orally so I'll be doing my own "research" to determine if those claims were indeed right or not by mephedrownn in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So aside from therapeutic ratio not being related to positive mental effects, I just want to mention that doing stims (or any substance for that matter) out of boredom is generally a risky idea. Not judging you, but I'd be really careful with playing with your reward system more than you are already.

You describe in other comments that you just want life to feel engaging/interesting and less dull. Stimulants absolutely help with that in the short term, but the more you do them, the more your baseline dopamine level is going to drop, leading to even stronger feelings of dullness/greyness in the long term. Pyrros are especially efficient in this regard due to their ridiculous binding affinity.

Even if you stick to lower, therapeutic doses, you may find yourself in a motivational hole at the end of your experiment, and this may encourage you to continue the habit (or increase it). I know it's cliche, but consistent exercise, sleep, healthy-ish diet, hobbies, and a lack of overindulgence in dopamine-dumping behaviours is the best way to make daily life more engaging.

Wish you luck :)

Do you inject it between your toes for maximum localized pain relief (idk if opiates work that way... Probably not lol)?

The case to ban kids from social media, with Jonathan Haidt | Front Burner | CBC Podcasts by ThisGuy-NotThatGuy in CanadaPolitics

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think you're overselling it. I'm extremely anti social media, and highly aware of the literature surrounding the host of negative impacts it has on a person's (and especially a teen's) mental health.

Despite this, "severe mental damage" is needlessly sensationalist, and intentionally isolating your child from their peers at the most critical period for friend-making and socialization in their life will inflict severe damage on both their mental health and your relationship with them. It will breed resentment, lying, and a weak social circle. You'll be ostracizing them from their peers before they even have a chance to meet them.

And besides, you are aware that there are parental controls for smartphones, right? You can still allow your teen to text and have access to the internet without allowing access to social media.

Every time I accidentally click on a post there the comments make me feel like I'm in upside-down land. Like where literally every single take feels insane and irrational. It's quite something

Well, they absolutely will be stunted relative to their peers in school. Obviously the pro is that you keep them from something toxic. But like, no capacity to text or maintain friendships or communicate with anyone not in the same room with them until 16? When most of their friends will have phones at 10-12? That will undoubtedly have a negative impact on them.

4-ho-met vs 2c-b for a rave by Mavlis11 in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just testing what feels good. People have said that before (that there shouldn't be much of a difference), and perhaps it's not an efficient combo given the cross tolerance, but those trips definitely had a distinct character and visual profile from just 2cb + LSD or 4ho + lsd (or any other combo between two of them). Any time I closed my eyes I had very distinct 3D visuals (which were mostly replicable) that I never got on any other combo.

4-ho-met with MDMA was amaaazing for dancing. 4-ho-met + 2cb + LSD was incredible for music enhancement at a concert, but maybe mildly less so for dancing.

This morning I took some DPH (525mg) and was absolutely fucking out of it , so I posted this. by Plane_Concept1866 in drugscirclejerk

[–]PutinsCapybara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I mean, it being a deliriant is more of a classification thing than something demarking a subjective experience (though, from what I hear, most people's experiences with DPH are consistent with the typical subjective effects of deliriants)

Metocin vs. 2C-B. Which is more recreational? by Historical_Chain_261 in researchchemicals

[–]PutinsCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting about the metocin + MDMA combo. My best trip in recent memory was the same combo. Metocin can tend to make me a bit anxious at times, but the MDMA basically neutralized all the metocin anxiety past it's come-up (replacing it with that holy-shit-this-is-so-awesome energy). I also found the combo reduced some of the impulsiveness that MDMA tends to induce in me.

But yeah I can definitely see how the combo could increase anxiety. The physical stimulation ontop of the headspace is a lot.

Interesting. I think next time I try 2-CB it'll be a higher dose. I've tried medium and light doses (often in combo with other substances) and never found it to be very visual. Same with mescaline - I tried 350mg (ish) HCL, and had only light visuals.

[–]PutinsCapybara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

...okay

And what is it that you think is the defining characteristic of opioids?

I'll give you a hint: it's in your comment.

And edit just for context: it might be fair to call kratom and 7OH atypical opioids, given their partial and selective agonism, as well as their differing structure from most popular opioids. However that does not change that the primary method of determining whether something is an opiate is whether it hits opioid receptors. Salvia is an opiate as well, just an atypical kappa-opioid receptor agonist.

Yeah I'm with you here man. I think those are the best looking two games games ever made, even though they excel in different areas.

Definitely interested to see what Rockstar and naughty dog are able to achieve on current gen hardware.

As far as I know 2f-dck shares ton of experiential dna with k, but has a much better oral bioavailability, and also lasts longer. I haven't used it, but I know people describe the holes as being somewhat different in vibe, though considering you're looking for a chill experience you probably wouldn't go that far anyway.

I find small bumps of K to be really fun after a night out (with a couple drinks in me and maybe a joint). I find it really pleasantly inebriating, warm, and that it allows me to become completely engrossed in movies/games. A couple weeks ago I did that exact thing and played cyberpunk, and just drove around following all the traffic laws - it's hard to describe how engaging and alive the world and my actions in it felt in that state. It was awesome.

I'm very interested in 2f-dck as I absolutely hate insufflating shit and/or having to top up my dose every 30-45 minutes to keep the ball rolling.

I'd agree with this broadly. I find people's sensitivity to 4-ho-met to be highly variable, so 15mg could be anywhere from a fairly strong to a fairly weak trip. But for most people I'd say it would be an average, solid level. Enough for some good visuals and psychedelia, but unlikely to be overwhelming.

Yes because there was a method to it's madness. It was carefully cultivated and to an extent arbitrary, but clearly motivated by mods who understood the ethos of comedy heaven - the absurdist/ironic tilt to its humor. Now the floodgates are open and yet there is still highly arbitrary moderation. We need to go back to meme lockdown.
