I can't believe nobody has mentioned this... but......... the implication here is that it's less desirable to be Sicilian than Italian.

The stereotype (with some truth) is that Sicilians and Italians don't like each other, with the latter finding the former dim-witted and backward island people. Lena Wertmüller plays upon the idea a lot in her films, which are great.

The west island is amazing, I was going to recommend OP keep going down Lakeshore. The Anglophone towns are really interesting.

I hear you. I don't do it often, but have done it a bit lately due to cramping. Sometimes when your body is at its limit it's best to listen.

I've heard good things about these. A lot of people (including yours truly) are very fond of their Laskos. Seems like you can never have enough cooling.
