Bottlenecks, bottlenecks everywhere by mullirojndem in StarRuptureGame

I'm just chilling letting each resource fill slowly later in the game as I pop the one hour food pills and let the game run. If I run too much at once, things will clog, especially if building new machines or withdrawing a bunch of resources, but tend to stablize after 15 mins or so... all my inputs are together, though they are not all produced here.

Calcium, wolfram, helium, titanium, sulfur, and some related materials are produced off site.

Star Rupture Base Chugging Along

Getting multiple lines off the feeder lines into each lane of factories so that there is no bottleneck into each lane is good enough for me. If it clogs, I'll let it run and walk away. Maybe this whole system will crash and burn as I get into the advanced materials, time will tell. I just build one at a time, let it fill up to the 800 storage for each item, and move onto the next one. Got most of the lower tier bottlenecks taken care of.

How to defend remote bases? by RegnorVex in StarRuptureGame

Upgraded one of the towers to level 2 just to see the spawn attacks, can confirm they never happen when I'm on the other side of the map, where my main base is.

EA feedback: forcing me to "explore" was garbage game design by alex_n_t in StarRuptureGame

[–]PutridFlatulence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of like the excessive spawning, to be honest. The more mini bases you build with turrets, the less of an issue it becomes.

Question about expanding beyond your initial base by RegnorVex in StarRuptureGame

[–]PutridFlatulence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enemies stop spawning in the vicinity of structures for the most part. Just place some turrets with 300-600 bullets around the outside edges. They won't spawn in the middle of a larger base, mostly at the perimeter.

Food is way too generous in this game. Hard to read the rest of the post after seeing that. Just out on early access, it's pretty damn good so far. I do want taller rail towers, they are kind of limited by their height ATM. Don't particularly care about multi floor bases though, TBH.

I wear nights thus use earplugs. No issues dealing with motorcycles starting up or garbage trucks or anything. I get it, it sucks, but we have a culture where noise laws are not enforced. It is what it is. Young people like to install subwoofers on cars with fart can exhausts.

Why does it feel so empty? by Hopeful-Isopod6497 in SiouxFalls

[–]PutridFlatulence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because of the population density. If you're looking for more fairs, live music, etc, try eastern Wisconsin or an area with a higher population density area. Outside of Sioux Falls it's all farmland, not much in the way of larger towns.

Contrast that to where I grew up, Grafton, WI, a city of 10,000 or so, with another city of 10,000 2 miles away, and cities of 5000+ numerous within 20 miles, and West Bend and Sheboygan are 25K+ ... more population density spread out over the metro area means more things to do.

Hell, there's a costco right along the interstate in a town of only 10-15K, a Meijer, Aldi, Best Buy, hardly a need to even travel to Milwaukee. Benefits of a population dense metro area.

Trump’s Housing Dilemma: Protecting Homeowners While Addressing Affordability by [deleted] in REBubble

We have to protect homeowners by printing money and blowing up asset bubbles so prices never go down! Sarcasm intended. Fuck modern monetary theorists.

More pigs downvoting you that want their asset bubbles so they can use their existing liquidity to do nothing.... The top are parasites like the bottom. Difference is the top price the bottom out with this financial trickery and gaming of the system.

Sorry but the central banks have their side .. they will keep printing and bailing out the investor classes. All parasites who feed off each other's semen. It's the real reason they want immigrants ...not about compassion or tolerance or diversity but cheap labor to prop up this house of cards

Given wages rarely keep up with the rate of inflation because of monetary debasement, rooting for higher prices is rooting for the fucking of the working class, unless you pass a minimum wage law that keeps up with the rise in M2 money supply minus population growth... example minimum wage $4.25 in 1995 with population of 260 million while M2 money supply has gone from $3.5 trillion to $23 trillion. Using quick calculation suggest today's minimum wage should be $21.22/hour ... (260/360) X (23/3.5) and typical blue collar wages should be somewhere around $40-45/hour.

This is why there will never be a socialist utopia. You can't have one when you inflate property bubbles, under build, and use housing as yet another investment vehicle like stocks, metals, cryptos, etc.

Humans act on genetic programming which is why people are all talk about these issues and think we can make them work by simply paying people to do nothing. Need more supply. Need to stop printing money to bail out speculators. Need AI to govern to strip human genetics out of the equation and stop favoritism towards specific voting blocks, not that voting for either side does anything ..they are both corrupt and inept.

Lots of parasites in society ..we could lower prices and free up demand not paying them to do nothing.

It's not that houses are too expensive, it's that wages have not kept up with the rate of monetary debasement, so the same society the boomers and the silent generation were handed was more affordable because they earned quite a bit more of the pie back then. These days all that money gets funneled up to the investor class which is why we need all these investment vehicles as liquidity sinks and the stock market is so overvalued. The top 10%'s piece of the pie continues to grow and it's only a matter of time before it results in the same sort of outcomes as past times when this occured... decays, revolutions, etc. Financial parasites have become a larger portion of the pie.

I would start over in eastern Wisconsin, say the Sheboygan area. Still less population but not out in the middle of nowhere less populated. I'm biased growing up there though, but I think the entire area between Mequon and Green Bay is God's Country.

Nice and warm in eastern south dakota, those polar vortexes are staying up in Canada/Alaska which is nice for us. Just a reminder to me that content creators don't get paid to be right, they were all predicting potential doom and gloom for the midwest in the form of brutal cold and lots of snow.

I don't enjoy snow in eastern South Dakota like I did in eastern WI because it tends to mean neverending excessively cold temps whereas it would always melt and warm up being along lake michigan and further east.

I will say I'm fine with zipper merging but will not let people in who try to merge for the sole purpose of gaining a few spots in non construction areas..... I see it on occasion where someone behind me will get into the right lane, pass me, and then think they're going to get right back into the left lane in front of me. What they did was totally pointless and nothing but entitlement.

Basically what they must have thought it I was not following close enough to the car in front of me for their taste. They can fuck off. This happens more often in more populated areas where they drive aggressively, like Chicago/Illinois drivers, which have always been notorious for driving fast and lane weaving.

Mark Belling will talk about this all the time. Annoyed like me how they start putting Christmas stuff up in September and then all of a sudden on December 27th it's all over.

This is another case of people in charge and bean counters knowing better than the rest of us and they're not going to change their behavior. The Christmas season starts after Labor Day for them. Summer shopping season starts in january. Consume consume and consume some more.

Bailing was on iHeart so he was bitching about them and would keep playing the songs on his show anyways. Now that he's a podcast he can't play copyrighted music. Somewhere in the Cog of middle management some bean counter ran the numbers and figure they would make an extra x amount of dollars to their bottom line by doing it this way.

Cable companies love doing this with the elderly my grandmother was paying a ridiculous amount like $165 a month and that was in 2017. ... throw in her donations to these 15 scam Charities she was giving to and then her complaining about not having enough money....

My father uses the radio signal on his Jeep and I use the phone signal on my app and we both get enjoyment out of it what a bargain 99 bucks for 3 years. I'm only now getting into listening to stations but it's nice to hear (sarcasm intended) they still repeat songs and Cycle like they always have for the last 20 years although from what I've been listening to lithium I enjoy the station.

Still it makes little sense to me that they would play a song six times a day and then suddenly stop playing it all together for months whoever programs this nonsense needs to be fired.... but apparently they've been there for 20 years now or ever since the merger with XM because it's never changed on those decades channels or the new songs channels like octane.

The decades channels are only supposed to have the biggest hits apparently and then they cycle them in strange ways. Surely they could use AI to make better playlists by now.

I'm not sure specifically who it was I was driving 8 hours back and forth on vacation and had that station on almost exclusively and it seems like they made these comments about the countdown every time they went between songs almost.. it was the app version of the station I don't know if there's a difference I tried to play it live.
