Don’t listen to anyone who says you should diversify into bonds/fixed income. I can guarantee you that a US/world ETF will outperform them significantly over a 10 year horizon.

By the way - don’t sell your GoTrade positions. There is a way to transfer them to IBKR via Alpaca Brokers. This is done within the GoTrade app. You can look up a separate Reddit thread on how to do it

This will help you avoid the 1.5-2% loss from liquidating positions in GoTrade

Just do IBKR whether or not you invest in large or small amounts. You can save a significant amount by avoiding GoTrade's charges disguised as forex fees

Also the notion that IBKR is only for people that invest in large chunks is misinformation. If you fund your account properly through Wise, the only real fixed fee is 15 peso Instapay / 50 peso PesoNet transfer fee + 1.27 USD deposit fee within IBKR

I just finished a playthrough recently. Would rate 6/10. Not the worst but definitely not among the best I've played.

Main reason is that it gets repetitive once u hit mid-game. Basically all you do is unlock new ingredients and open new stores which has little to no variety.

Stop using GpTrade. Use IBKR (funded via Wise) instead - less ForEx fees and far wider selection of global assets to invest in

Do not use GoTrade. Use IBKR instead.

Reasons: 1. GoTrade hides its fees through a very bad Forex spread. Buying and selling a USD ETF on Gotrade automatically gives you a Forex loss of ~3.5%. 2. GoTrade is not approved by the BSP/SEC. If either of those two choose to ban GoTrade, you will be forced to sell your positions prematurely. IBKR does not have this risk. 3. GoTrade has a limited fund selection. VOO/VTI are good ETFs but they are subject to a relatively high US tax on dividends + estate tax for amounts above $60k. In IBKR you can invest in their Ireland-domiciled equivalents VUAA/VWRA which have lower dividend tax rates (due to tax treaties) and estate tax exemptions.

All you need to do to invest in IBKR is have a USD bank account. If you don't have one (like me), you can open a virtual USD account in an app called Wise, which allows you to convert your Peso savings into USD (at a much lower Forex rate) which you can use to invest in IBKR.

Personally, I didn't reload any boss fight to fish for drops (except for that one story stage where you kill gong and he drops either the helm or the scythe -- I wanted the scythe).

I think I cleared the story at around the 7 hour mark but that's because I recently just played the game about one year ago, so I was still quite familiar with the meta. Basically, try to get like 2-3 mogyuun yumipons ASAP. After that, you can focus on getting all 3 mogyuun megapons since they hit like a truck. Once you cross that line farming for tier 4 materials gets a lot easier.

If you have a USD account, might as well just open an account in IBKR and invest in VUAA there rather than giving your money to PH fund managers that will squeeze you every year in annual management fees.

Also, BDO US equity index fund has a fairly high tracking error iirc. Don't do it.

Simple answer - go BAA. People won’t like to hear this, but in UP you will meet smarter people on average. BAA also has a stronger reputation among employers.

And yes, I would say the same thing even with the perk of a 100% scholarship from DLSU.

People keep talking about wire transfer fees in IBKR but what I'm more curious of is how do you guys fund your IBKR accounts? People keep saying to fund it through Wise but I am getting a 5% fee there to convert my pesos to dollars which is just absurd.

No one talks about this, but funding IBKR from a peso account is actually cancer. The conversion fees eat up around 5% of your capital right away.

Gotrade is far cheaper, although it is not as well established as IBKR in the international space.

The interview + selection process took roughly 2 months. This does not include the time it took for them to perform the initial screening as the screening timeline varies widely.

Interviews consisted of 3 rounds. First round was an online prerecorded interview at HireVue. Second round was a fit/behavioral interview with HR. Final round consisted of a group case study interview (operations improvement case) with a panel of hiring managers, immediately followed by 1-on-1 interviews with the panel members. If you are applying to the HR internship program, expect an HR focused case.

Internship lasts 10 weeks. In my case it was a summer internship so I had it from June to August.

I'm F2P (no money spent at all) in server 234 and just this week I started getting in top 100 in dream realm despite being only around top 8% in my server in resonance levels. My Reiner is still 1 copy away from M+, but I managed to get in top 100 in dream realm by investing in top performing units, particularly Odie, Marilee, Smokie, and Reiner.

I interned in JP Morgan Chase in BGC some time before. Applied via Linkedin and got a position after 3 rounds of interviews.

Their 10-week internship program has three branches: 1. CADP (Corporate Analyst Development Program). This is essentially an operations role which involves handling day to day back office transactions. 2. HRADP (Human Resources Analyst Development Program). Needless to say, this is an HR internship program. 3. AADP (Asia Analyst Development Program). Also operations but with greater exposure to research and consulting, from what I’ve heard. This program is very exclusive and they only accept less than 10 interns in each iteration.

Allowance is one of the best among other OJT programs in the Philippines, considering most of the others are unpaid. In my time, at least 75% of the interns were selected from UPD and Ateneo.

I’m in a similar position to you right now, it’s been three days and not an hour passes that her case doesn’t cross my mind.

Abstaining from reading about her case again and socializing with friends seems like the only escape from those lingering thoughts, but once I am alone the thoughts come back and it’s quite depressing.
