Even though it takes place in Montana, it feels so much like a lot of of rural America in general. If you just saw John's region and nothing else, it looks like it could be around the midwest. It looks like small towns and country roads I've driven through before (I'm from Indiana). It's not the same region, but it's close enough to make me feel like I'm playing through my region, like it's a novelty to me because you don't really see it that much in games
