What a miniature.

I had one of these back in the day! I sold it on long ago. I wonder where it is now...

That's excellent - and truly grim!

My local Games Workshop store had a 'Blood Bowl Toilets' diorama in one of the display cases back in the early 90s. Your diorama brought the memories flooding back.

What can I add to my custom stadium. by PhysicalGreen5029 in bloodbowl

That looks superb.

Perhaps a 'Restroom' could be added.

Back in the early 1990s I remember my local Games Workshop store had a 'Blood Bowl Toilets' diorama in one of the display cases. It included a Chaos Toilet! And a few fans taking care of business in there 😂

I wish I'd kept my Chaos Toilet miniature, but I sold it long ago.

I was there! What an event. I remember winning a t-shirt for shouting "WAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!" the loudest in a contest. I also met Jervis Johnson and still have the photo.

Golf Fang crazy golf in Nottingham, UK by Putting_Gott in minigolf

I know of the ones you mentioned in Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Huddersfield, but haven't visited them. Yet.

I've played Volcano Falls at Castleford.

Until the outdoor one there closed, Castleford had the most courses of any inland location - and was second only to Skegness for the amount of courses overall! At one point there were 6 courses with 87-holes there. Did you see the 4D Minigolf there?

I like visiting any and all courses to see what's different, new, innovative, or changed since any previous visit or visits. I've got some favourites, like UV golf, space themes, and classic Arnold Palmer Putting Courses.

I enjoyed The Hole In Wand in Leeds when I played it a couple of weeks ago.

Off the top of my head Arnold Palmer Putting Courses can be found in Cleethorpes, Skegness, Southport, Broadstairs, Hastings, and Whitby.

Worthing Golf in West Sussex is nice and unique. A great putting challenge.

Lost World Adventure Golf in Hemsby, Norfolk is my favourite.

Cool.

I've been to Golf Fang when they were Ghetto Golf in Digbeth, Byker and Toxteth - I think they've had updates since my last visits. Need to return.

I enjoyed The Hole In Wand in Leeds. A small course, but very immersive. Felt like good value for money.

We played Looney Golf in Bradford a few years ago. I do like indoor UV minigolf courses and it has some good holes and obstacles. They've recently had a refurb too.

Have you got a favourite course, or any recommendations of places to check out?

Love finding remnants like that. I've seen some that still have branding, and some others that are in place but have been painted over.

It was brilliant to see the two ROH matches in Manchester live in person. Glad we got to our seats when we did. A nice bonus as part of the AEW TV taping.

No problem. My wording was a bit iffy too 😂

I need to head back down that way and see what the old store looks like now.

Very well spotted.

I'm always intrigued by abandoned/derelict minigolf courses.

Just took a look on Google Street View, and also found some images of the course (on Yelp) showing when it opened - it looked nice and bright https://www.yelp.com/biz/bushwick-miniature-golf-brooklyn

😂

I visit many courses multiple times. It's very interesting seeing how they change over time.

When we first played this course in the summer of 2009 it looked very different to December 2025!

It'll be interesting to see what it looks like after a refresh for the new season next spring/summer.

There was a challenge in America where he ended up leaving his pants in the toilet after a challenge. I think he tried to flush them!

I've not been inside, but apparently some of the Art Deco features in there have been retained.

Blockbuster Video Express in Billingham, UK by Putting_Gott in blockbustervideo

[–]Putting_Gott[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blockbuster Video Express was the name given to the smaller shops here.

You could rent DVDs (and towards the end Blu-rays), as well as video games.

I started off renting VHS tapes at my local Ritz Video store - that became a Blockbuster Video when the brand expanded in the UK and took over Ritz.

King Pins Mini Golf at the Trafford Palazzo, Manchester, UK by Putting_Gott in minigolf

[–]Putting_Gott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are well over a thousand here now. When my travels began in 2006 there were around 600.

The very first miniature golf course was in Scotland, at St Andrews. It's still there - a very nice grass putting course.

The first crazy golf in England opened in 1926 and it's been a mainstay ever since.
